So sorry for the n00b Q
I'm looking at my nand in your tool and I see in advanced tools (kv info) it's telling me it's a Jasper (64mb) I presume this is refering to the size of the nand, I'm not entirely sure what the internal memory is as it's currently unformatted.
As you can guess I've brought this off of a third party.
How best can I update freeboot if I can only guess the internal memory size? I will be using nand-x, will I be able to use your tool and once done format the internal memory from the 360 dash?

Sorry if these are obvious to some, I've been browsing for a couple of days now.
I think the yellow/red wires have been installed alternative points under the board but not aud clamp, that's not relevant but I thought I'd mention it.
I guess at some point I need to check out if the e fuse is protected as well, again thats a bit by the by.

Many thanks to anyone who answers  biggrin.gif

Hi people, i got a question. i know this tool is used to update nands to current kernel version with the original nand dump, can i still update the nand to current version with the current nand i have on my jtag xbox? i had the original dump on a hard drive that died thanks to power failure. So can i still use the current nand installed on my jtag xbox to update to 13599? My current jtag xbox nand is 8955 (the xbox was locked up on my closet for 1 year lol) i want to update to use it again TIA for answers.

i've redumped the nand. but i dont have the cpu key on hand.

a few quick questions:

what's the EASIEST way to get the system to the newest dash

and

what's an easy way to get my cpu key?

thanks in advance

As far as getting your CPU key...do you have Xell installed on that Jtag?  If so, press the dvd eject button to power on your system.  You'll see a blue screen with a bunch of white text.   During the process, you'll see be a bunch of fusesets listed.   It happens quick though, so take a picture of your tv with ur phone or digital camera!  Combine either fuse sets 3 and 5, or 4 and 6.   (it doesn't matter which set you combine, as that will become your CPU key)   Open Coolshrimp's tool, pop in your CPU key and have the app build your custom image.   I don't use the tool, so I'm not sure as to what to tell you to click.  But, yeah getting your cpu key is easy if you already have a jtag  smile.gif
