Could I ask though how it goes about detecting the smc version used when giving an existing nanddump?

On my Jasper (bought pretagged) It says (using the cd I was given with the original and modded nands), my smc configuration used was standard....but speaking with the guy I bought it from, he seems to think it was most likely audclamp method used.

Is it possible to take a dump of existing nand with flash360 or whatever, then open the file manually to see what it really is?  Or even a 360 app that you can launch which tells you there and then.

I've only ever tagged a xenon myself, a long time back, and dont relish the idea of having to go through the learning process again if I mess it up.(nor do I have the time, and equipment any more)...hence buying the jasper pretagged

take it apart and check the wiring method only thing u can do really to be 100% but the application is correct 99% of the time

it's relatively simple to determine the wiring method from a -working- dump.

thanks - will take a fresh dump of the existing nand (on offchance the guy could've given wrong disc/nand on cd)

then see what it shows up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  Probably is standard in the end as you say.....just forever cautious about bricking my jtag (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I hated my xenon for always living in fear of it dying (which came and went several times)....now tbh my jasper I don't even want to physically open if possible (overcautious I know) in case something upsets the console.  I live in fear of xbox's dying now all the time......never in the past have I been physically scared of a console lol

tried using easy freeboot 5.32. used one of my many original backups of my nand, tried with options stock, cygnos v2 and also tried different kernel versions, everytime i use a usb stick with any of the made Updflash.bin files i created and update via xellous, after power cycle i always get e79. any ideas?

i used flash360 to flash instead and this time it worked, but it loads xellous still and im pretty sure i selected xell reloaded. but im getting there lol

EDIT: made another easy freeboot image making sure i selected Xell Reloaded. flashed it with flash360 but it still loads xellous, PLEASE HELP

As you can see, I'm a long-time member, but mainly a lurker/reader. So, I'm not a total n00b.

Thanks for the great app sneakypeanut!! I just used it to update my jtag from .9199 to .13599, then applied the official M$ system update over the top to get my avatar stuff back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Quick question though...what would be the best way to achieve XB1 compatability from disk? After the update, using both original XB1 titles and backups, the dash recognizes the disk in the drive and starts to boot it, but locks up at the white xbox splash screen, requiring a hard reboot.
I didn't see any way to patch for this in EFB and was hoping I'd simply overlooked it.

Tried your other app (exploit 360) and i think ive broken my xbox although xell reloaded works, just no normal boot (alternating red lights on both top then bottom ROL) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
