Posted by XanTium | July 19 21:45 EST | News Category: Xbox360

As always with a new C4E iXtreme release, Team Jungle also comes with a new version of JungleFlasher to add full support for the new firmwares.

What's new/fixed:
* Support for LT Plus 1.9 Liteon(slim):
-0272
-0225
-0225u (factory updated 9504 to 0225)
-0401
* Support for set Spi Lock status register on:
- XECUTER DG-16D4S UNLOCKED PCB
- XECUTER DG-16D4S PRO INSTALL KIT
* Support to extract and patch calibration data at 0x1FF80.
* In some cases 0225 may give "Play DVD" error randomly, without this data.

Im curious...does the spi log register have something to do with how 0x72 is achieved? to allow writing?
Howcome is only available for  Team X Dg-164s unlockd pcb?

Is jungle flasher just Xoring until the bit pattern matches the vendor specific control code from factory.

So is there a  XOR to get the individual bits to identify as 0x72?

Ok so straight off the bat this version of JF BLOWS!!
I really appreciate the work these guys do and i thank them all for it, BUT hopefully someone important reads this and it can be rectified.

Reason i say that is i just tried to flash my BENQ 04421C back to stock so i can do the recent update to 13599 but on erase it hangs so i hit erase to do it manually but all i get is a "Blank Test Failed" message.
Messed round for nearly an hour then thought id try JF 184 (250) and it worked straight away without a hitch.

So yea just for the sake of information gathering and bug reporting thought id share my knowledge in case anyone else has this error.

EDIT: Right so i just tried flashing my Lite-On to stock on my other console as well so i can update and that did the same thing hung on the write blah blah blah
so i went back to JF 184 (250) once again and it worked.

Is it just me that has the retarded version or is anyone else having this same problem?

Seems the bugs are less important then the release time?

just a quick look:

0272 buggy fw? all realtime checks fails?!!!? seems too much strange, maybe i did something wrong, but sincerely who cares, even if you fix the realtime overall fails, you'll still have a few % of fails cause of overall jf bug.

0225 works, good realtime check timings

0225u buggy jf

now some uberidiot will pop out telling that i must provide evidence, but i'm sure they already have the evidence, just the fix is missing.

calibration data? maybe you dind't understand again what's that data for.
Aside the fact that "calibration data" in fat liteons was just a "manufacturer test log", here the "manufacture test log" is at 3F000,  and what you see at 1FF80 is "manufacturing tests commands"
Do you think that only 0225 has this 1FF80 different? nope! these are manufacturing tests commands, not all drive have been tested against the same sequence of commands. Also 9504 had different 1FF80.

I have a weird problem with this new version of JF.
I tried to flash a PHAT Lite-On with LT+ 1.9 on this new version of JF, when I erased the firmware using Lite-On Erase button, and then hit Write button, it stopped right there! it did nothing more and just stopped!
I went back to ver 1.84(250) of JF and wrote the firmware using that version.
What's wrong with this new version of JF ?!

I passed you PM's on bud, pretty much after they were received.

I don't work with "the team" any more.

I just relayed messages on behalf of you as they seemed of great importance.

I was told it was 'in hand'so left it at that.

Thanks for the heads up about the bugs. I will be avoiding this version when I flash my next drive or waiting for a new version.

Same on mine too, just tried to flash BENQ back to stock and it froze on write, can't get the drive to show up at all now, or eject even. Any hints on getting it working again?

EDIT: Got it to show up again, the drive seems blank, i've closed the tray, and opened jungleflasher again and just done intro/device id and did the power off power on again and its back in vendor mode. I guess we should stay away from this version of JF. Im flashing back to stock with the old version.

same here my 0225 stops at bank 0 wont go any further. 1.84 flashies my 0225 unlocked pcb but it dont work play dvd prob. I then tryed to flash a old liteon and it sent erase code then wouldnt go it stat 0x72 so went to 1.84 and it showed as liteon so it dint even erase in 1.85 even though it said it had  1.84 flashed it perfect just wondeing if its worth installig xp and trying that any thoughts on that is it worth a try.
