BestPig released a new version of freeBOOT ToolBox - a tool that allows to create and customize a freeBOOT image based on an original or XBR/freeBOOT dump: This new version comes with the option to deactivate the KeyVault hash checks. This will allow those with a corrupt KV to use the 12611 dashboard on their JTAG 360. Other new stuff: * The "My console has no DVD drive" feature now works correctly. I really like this program, even made a donation but i still can't figure out why aud_clamp patch isn't built in yet. It's no big deal to manually replace SMC in custom mode but every other similar program has this feature.

Love this tool, it's so easy. Used previous versions to upgrade three jtag boxes without any problem.

Would there be any problem in using the no dvd function and then adding a dvd drive later ?

it works fine just dont expect to push eject and have xellous boot. it will still boot normally. you would have to use the xellious launch app.

Also would love to see some SMC options bult in. one check box for Aud_clamp and one for Open_tray.

I totally agree this program is great. It really doesn't bother me that the aud_clamp patch isn't built in, even though it would speed things up by not having to manually patch the SMC. I do the aud_clamp method on every box I do now, just because im patching the SMC anyway to get the plug and play fix.

See jtag tool has aud clamp, but no cygnos special wiring button, so have to use both, as i have different systems.

So this will give us the latest dash?, as it still has the same number?

No this only gives us dash 12611 but allows people to use any KV so if they had a situation where they had a corrupt nand or for some reason just lost thier nand data they might be able to recover from it. Also it allows people running a old dash version with a swapped KV to update with out getting xmas tree lights error.

There is no reason for us to get a jtag dash 12625 at this time unless we want to run modded lobbies and the people behind the jtag hack don't want to support cheaters on xbox live. I have to agree with them but i also sure would like to be able to sell my KV's again for some extra $$$.

i find it very rarely mentioned, but if you have a media remote, using the eject button to start up the console will start xellous.

i dont get what the "no dvd drive" option does. all i can think is that it means you dont have to jumper the pins to stop the flashing ROL. anyone know what its about?

 And so your console will boot to the dash instead of just xell/xellous as it would without a dvd drive.

If I was to use the "no DVD drive" option would I still be able to connect my dvd drive occasionally to rip games? My dvd drive is old and frequently causes e65 even though it is not modified. In previous versions of freeboot I was able to simply remove it but in the newest ones that causes it to go into xell. How would I get to xell if I use this option?

Am I really the only person that realizes what this actually means?

1. Any keyvault can be subbed in for a banned one, just like before
2. JTAGers can host modded lobbies again and make oodles of cash once again
3. Keyvault sales should start picking up again (more expensive than before since they're getting much harder to find now)
4. .. I have keyvaults for sale?

Of course I don't support taking JTAGs online or hosting modded lobbies and I've never done either, but I'm a little surprised that no one has mentioned the obvious.

No one stated it, because it's not true. Just because you can swap your keyvault doesn't mean it won't still get banned within minutes. Plus, freeboot hasn't been updated to the newest update that just came out, so it wouldn't matter anyway.
