Abgx360 V1.0.5 Released!

QUOTE
2010/12/06:

abgx360 v1.0.5 released!

Changes affecting all platforms:

- Fixed a bug when AutoFixing or manually patching Video that would cause an AP25 replay sector to get blanked out (some functions were still using the old hardcoded value for Video padding size)
- Improved Game CRC progress indicator to prevent poor formatting if "Time Left" became more than 999 minutes
- Added progress indicators for Video CRC, SplitVid and SplitVid padding checks
- Now using bigbuffer when checking SplitVid which results in much faster performance when comparing L1 Video on L0 to L1 Video on L1 (especially when checking a burned DVD)

Note: The GUI has not been changed and will still display version 1.0.2, don't worry about it as long as the CLI app displays v1.0.5

Must be quite a bit of work to change the 2 in 1.0.2 to a 5.

I'm thinking that they're two different processes, and as the GUI hasn't actually changed...

Or maybe he just cant be arsed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Either way, thanks for the update.

to change the version number to the current number, open agbx360gui.exe in a hex editor and go to line:
00249171. Change the second field to 35 like below:

00249171 2e [35] 00 a9

Now your GUI will say version 1.0.5 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

EDIT: If you want (or care) to have your GUI say the correct version number, I RAR'd my copy. Just replace the file in the folder you installed it to.

Will this fix the backup of my retail copy of Assassins Creed Brotherhood?

Or should we wait till a new Backup Creator and/or 0800 firmware is out?

Yes it will. Set it to level 3 and it will auto patch it for you.

Just updated and ran a couple of isos through it. I was surprised to see my Alan Wake iso fail verification, since it used to pass. So somehow a previously verified rip suddenly is no longer verified. This has nothing to do with the application itself, I know, but rather the database. And it makes you wonder why a verified rip was pulled... Would love to hear an explanation.

Sittingduck that's what makes me wonder how safe it is to use this for your backups. I'm not sure I trust it for retail backups. I'm sure it works fine for scene releases but I only do my own backups. I'd like to backup my NFS Hot Pursuit and AC Brotherhood but not sure if what they will apply will work on a retail backup.

I'm on a Mac version of abgx and under 'burned dvd' it does not allow for, well, a burned dvd to be checked. Is abgx team ever going to make this option work?

I'm not sure why the big deal is. The GUI never changed, hence still 1.0.2. The DOS/Command line version did. Although, if I was him, I'd change the GUI, since everyone and their little brother must be asking him about it.
