Win7 x64, ran as administrator...

input my original nand.bin, and my CPU key

updated with Flash 360, power cycled

added avatar support by updating with the official ms update available from their site

All is well. Whole process took 5 minutes and a dozen clicks start to finish.

Thanks all involved!

Have a noob question so be gentle.

After you reflash the NAND, is the new dash automatically installed or does that require going to ms, downloading it and installing it yourself?

does anyone know if this works when you dont have a dvd drive? there is an alternative freeboot image for no-dvd boxes as i think this causes a problem with new dash

Will AP25 games run on a Jtag unit that has been upgraded to Freeboot with the fbbuild and 12611 the new kinect dashboard?
I know they run okay on 9199 for jtaggers

Samsungs are immune to AP2.5 checks, so you would be good either way.  Also my question to clarify is will AP2.5 games run from hard drive internal/external on the new freeboot.  I don't even have a drive mod any more.

Thanks for the update, worked great.

AP2.5 will play if you install DashLaunch 2.05, playing NFS Hot Pursuit from a GOD Container now, it would give disc not readable error until I installed DashLaunch.

I guess that's because it's encrypted with the CPU key.

Created new freeboot from the original nand dump. Flashed it. Console is booting directly to Xell for some reason. Works fine with older version of the freeboot toolbox.

R6T3 still in place. Used alternate points instead of removing it. Could this be my issue?

It will always boot to xellous without a DVD drive attached because the system is reporting 'tray open' status when there is no DVD drive attached. However, if you jump pins 6 and 4 on the drive power connector (see here for details: http://forums.xbox-s...o...9024&st=105 ) it will report as drive tray closed and boot into the dash as normal. It'll also stop the annoying flashing center light wink.gif

thanks drexel. i have the jumper fitted to stop the flashing. is this all it's about? does freeboot_alt.bin just stop the flashing when you dont have the jumper fitted, and also stop xellous boot?

sorry im so dense...

I'm having problems.

I backed up my 9199 Nand through flash360.
Built the new dash using Freeboot Toolbox.
Flashed the Nand with the file it made.
Pulled the power cord out and left for 5 mins.
Turned it on waited...waited... then I was presented with 3rlod. (0022)
Now lost......help

Doesnt work for me. 16mb xenon.

I used the first original nand dump i did via lpt.
(I did three nand dumps with a few different blocks, and repaired with "Nand Compare", this works fine on old xbr image)

When i load 2(created two) of the new freeboot.bin files in nand compare, i get "69 non-matching block(s) found" in nandcompare, and if i make three images and try to repair, i get "69 unrecoverable blocks".
The excact same thing happens with "Easy FreeBoot"

If i try to load the created nand on my xbox, i see the boot logo but nothing more happens.

I tried "Jtag Tool 2.20" aswell, but then i just got a completly dead box, wouldnt even start.

My earlier xbr.bin image works great. So im now running on the old xbr.

Any help would be much appreciated.

PS: I get error 250 on block 1A3 and 1A4 each time i use nandpro. Used redlines badblockmover to fix this on the old xbr image, but badblockmover wont work on the new freeboot image. Flash360 automaticly relocated these blocks when flashing from usb stick though.

Another thing: I probably have a original MS dash (orig.bin) thats from 2007 or early 2008, can this cause my problems?

mjrweedo - use your xbr.bin in  Freeboot Toolbox to create your 12611 image.
