A new version of the famous BestPig app is out with the Freeboot 0.04 support
So you can easily create a 12611 freeboot image with that soft (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Job done - Xenon, Falcon and Jasper512MB all just done using this. No problems at all.

Except on my Jasper, I had a profile on the MMU which became erased when writtng back. Doh!

What I did was:

1) Used 'Flash360' on Xbox to obtain a backup image from my Freeboot (9199 Dash) Jtag xbox.
2) Used 'Freeboot Toolbox' and added my CPU key.
3) Created 'Freeboot.bin' after selecting my backup image from step 1 and appropriate Xbox Type (untick the auto detection)
4) Renamed the 'Freeboot.bin' file to 'updflash.bin' (Could have created it as that name in step 3)
5) Used 'Flash360' on Xbox to Write updateflash.bin to NAND
6) After successful flash, powerdown and unplug for 30secs.
7) Power up and job done!

I also downloaded the latest 'SystemUpdate12611' from Microsoft to update with Avatars.

As the MMU became erased, I had to go back through the system memory settings and reformat.

My Xenon does have bad blocks, but 'Flash360' takes care of all that.

I love this program because you can take an XBR backup from flash360 and use this program to make a freeboot 12611 file. Confirmed working

Tried this, at 38% I get a "Your Dump Has Not Been Properly Extracted" warning.  I've tried autodetect and selecting Falcon, both do not work.  I've tried a NAND dump from both Xellous and Flash 360.

If I select debug mode it creates the Freeboot.bin without problems.  Would it be safe to use the file if I checked the "debug" option?

Are you running the app as Adminitrator?

Thats what i did and i'm on Windows 7 (x64).

Just read the part where it says to use original NAND backup for a Jasper 256/512 - I used the Flash360 backup of previous FreeBoot dash on Jasper512. Working fine for me, anyone know why this is being advised?

Yes there is no dashlaunch incorporate in, cause now you don't have to integrate the dashlaunch's patch in the freeboot image creating process (like for DL1.0), you just have to launch a xex though a xex explorer.

This app worked great!

Used my original nand dump (not the current XBR nand), input CPU key, copied the resulting updflash.bin to usb stick and flashed with Flash360. Everything worked like a charm the first time.

Also ran the systemupdate for Kinect/Avatar support, JTAG still working great  biggrin.gif

It seems to build OK but I haven't flashed yet. Each time I build a freeboot.bin it creates a different file, i.e. they are not the same. Is this normal?

Thx

That is what makes me worry aswell... I created freeboot.bin three times using my original nand dump and all the files were totally different. Not to mention the file JTag tool 2.12 created also differs from those. Any suggestion ?

They are always different.  I made a couple for the last dash then checked the crc's all different but that's how it always is.

Created new freeboot from the original nand dump. Flashed it. Console is booting directly to Xell for some reason. Works fine with older version of the freeboot toolbox.

R6T3 still in place. Used alternate points instead of removing it. Could this be my issue?

For the first time since this app came-out I'm having a problem with it.

The first time I ran it on a new machine (Win7 64bit) I forgot to run as administrator and it couldn't/didn't install libeay32.dll So now every time I try to build it just says 'Your Dump has not been properly extracted"

Any suggestions (As it obviously makes registry entries, and has no 'uninstall')
