Done on a Xenon without a problem just followed directions in here. wink.gif

Launch FLASH360 on XBOX from USB key and make a full nand backup (button X)
then on PC launch Easy FreeBoot
Click Create Image
Open saved nand backup
Enter your CPU key

Easy FreeBoot will finish and create a Updflash.bin
Copy Updflash.bin to the usb key (i´ve copied to the root of the usb pen)

Gone to XBOX, launched XeXmenu 1.1 and then runned FLASH360 Xex
Button A (write updflash.bin to Nand)
Button B (Raw Flash without keeping current kv/config).
ignore the warnings ("WARNING: Keyvault encrypted data check mismatch" and "WARNING: Your current nand is not the ZeroPaired."). Pass this with Start button

Pressed A after the 2 warnings to continue with the flash

Wait until it´s flashed
Back
Back to Turn off Xbox 360
It turn´s off by it self

Remove Usb pen
Remove power cord and wait 2 or 3 minutes

Press power button

Now configure language and resolution
Will ask about an update, just press OK (Don´t know if this happens without a live profile, mine is for avatar items)

Download
_tt_://download.microsoft.com/download/4/1/D/41D9A2BA-3B48-4BD5-B613-122E7C3A1390/SystemUpdate12611.zip

extract SystemUpdate12611.zip on USB key,
insert the USB key to your xbox and follow the instruction to update,
after few seconds you'll have a working new dash with avatar!!!

Enable Console Safety
Set passcode and reset
Go to parental controls and disable
- Xbox Live connection
- Xbox Live account creation
Set all ratings to unblocked (defaults are like PG-13 for films and etc)

All made with resistor R6T3 on place!!!

Wait for a new Freestyle dash or use the one available. biggrin.gif

Anyone noticed the temperature is lower? smile.gif

Used some posts on this forum, so thanks to those people. wink.gif

PS: I do have a original nand but i´ve chosen to use the backup made by flash360 as my original nand had CB 120 and freeboot 9199 had Cb 121. So just used what was working this months. smile.gif

I got the new cat version but still have the same issue when I get the iflash window and hit any key it disappears and stops on my Jasper 256 with original nand dump and freeboot0.32 dump.

i could be wrong, but i think either original nand or freeboot 0.032 image is currently required.  upgrade to freeboot - i know i've seen a bunch of tuts on that process.

Another satisfied JasperBB customer. Updated smoothly with this app. and also avatar updated with the official, all with R6T3 intact.

Edit: @Inuyasha, I used my orig nand to build if you have that?! And those files you are having skipped aren't needed IMO, I just updated dashlaunch 2.04 manually afterwards.
If you are able to create an image and check it in 360 Flash Dump Tool, I have 29 files. Swat I found for both the BB and Falcon

Just updated my Jasper BB & Falcon console using dumps fromn 9199 (don't have originals). Worked perfectly! Thanks for the info, and especially thanks to Sneaky Peanut for such a simple process smile.gif

holy cow, this tool is ace, "it just works", 2 consoles done, Xenon and Falcon (had to remap bad blocks as flash360 iirc doesn't)

Hi There,
I have a issue I can't figure out and hope someone can help.
The update flash is created, and I flash it using the flash360 tool, it complains about the difference, and I press START to continue and flash the NAND.

I then power down, and unplug all for a minute. When I boot back up, it displayes the new 360 splash screen, and hangs at that point without loading the standard dash. I can still boot into Xell using the eject button and can reflash backup to recover. This also happens if I create the flash using Easy Freeboot. I am currently using freeboot 0.032 (Dashboard 9199) and are using the dump of that to create the new flash. Do you know what I am doing wrong for it to not boot the 12611 dash and hang at the splash screen? Thanks for your help.

I found I had to click 'no' when is asks if you have a specific CB, even if it's the one you know you have, after that the program would run fine without disappearing after pressing any key. And I was pressing the any key. happy.gif  After that I checked that the CB was correct in 360 flash tool

Hi everybody! Just registered here 'cause I have a couple of question about updating my Freeboot.
I'm currently running Freeboot 0.032 (9199) on my X360 Jasper 512.

As I bought my xbox already JTAG:ed I'm currently below newbie-level when it comes to NAND-flashing and all that. Unfortunately the company closed so they are not available to answer the questions that I have. My question is following;
  1. The company that did the JTAG said they "removed the possibility that future updates burn the uFuses".. Sounds good to me, but may this be a problem when updating to 12611?
  2. Don't know if they removed "R3T6" ? Is this standard when doing JTAG and what if they did not remove it? What can happen?
  3. I received a dvd-disc containing many files; Folder "66mb" containing "nand1.bin" -> "nand3.bin", all of the same size 69 696 KB. Folder "512" containing "nand1.bin" -> "nand3.bin", all of the same size 540 672 KB and also a text-file named "badBlocks".  What's the difference between the files as they are different sizes? Also, why is there 3 files?
  4. What's best, using the original NAND or the 0.032-NAND? If using the original NAND might bad blocks be a problem?
  5. When flashing on xbox, keep KV and config or not? What's best and why?
Sorry for all the questions and hope none of you judge me for being a newb, want to learn! If you have links that might answer the questions above please send me!

It is a Jasper 16Mb CB 6723 (Verified in 360 Flash tool, and Easy GUI Frebooter). I have tried flashing both keeping the keyvault (Option A in Flash360) and overwriting the values (Option B in Flash360). Both times when I reboot, the splash screen is displayed and hangs at that point.
