« on: September 30, 2010, 10:11:00 AM »

I.  Introduction
================

Snes 360 Game Save Converter can extract the SRM battery saves out of Snes CON saves. It can also inject your SRM battery saves into a Snes 360 CON Save so you can use your save files from another Snes emulator with Snes360.

II. Usage
================

   Build
   ========
Select the 'Build' Tab, select your SRM battery save to inject, and select where to output the Snes360 formatted save game. *NOTE* The Snes360 formatted save game must have the same file name as the rom file you wish to load it for. Once All fields are complete, click the 'build' button to create the Save Game in the selected location.

   Extract
   ========
Select the 'Extract' Tab, Select the Snes360 Formatted save game to extract the SRAM save file from. Then select where to output the extracted SRM save file, once all fields are comlete, click the 'Extract' button to extract.

It was DotNetBar2, which is a third party plugin. i just changed the UI back to a standard Windows form instead of the 'Office 2007' look and it loaded fine

i cant seem to get this to work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)  everytime i try to build a save with it and i put it where the saves go snes360 doesn't even show/load them example,

i was playing earthbound and downloaded a srm save to start at level 99 but when i build the container resign it to my profile (or even when i dont resign it)  it doesnt show up when i start earthbound and try to load it,

the main screen just says start new file (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Unsure if resigning is needed, the application will resign/rehash it but not to your console specific ID's.

make sure you have the Snes 360 srm named the same as the earthbound rom (ive noticed that Snes360 uses all lower case for the saves, unsure if is it case-sensitive).

pm me a link to the earthbound save you are trying to use

First I must say this is a great idea for a homebrew app and I've been wanting to move my recent playthrough of Secret of mana, off the psp and onto the big lcd tv via the xbox360. Unfortunately I've had my fair share of problems with this app and I was unsuccessful at the move. My first issue had to do with either my x64 version of Windows 7 or something with my dotnet ver 4 as trying to start this app on my desktop would result in an error saying I needed dotnet ver 4 even though I already had it, so I proceeded to repair, remove, reinstall, all to no avail and the error persisted. So I moved everything onto a flash drive and moved the project over the my laptop with x86 vista with dotnet 4 and this time the app loaded without a hitch. So I placed my copied psp save into the first section and made the output identical to the filename (which is the same as the psp rom anyhow) as the x360 and was successful with the convert. When i ftp'd the converted save (which oddly is different in size to the original snes360 save) and then booted the game to test, it reacted as there was no save detected and could only select a new game. So after some troubleshooting and double checking my directories and filenames were correct I noticed the coverter app has a KV.bin in there so I decided to replace it with the KV.bin from the console I was using but that didn't seem to help any and now am at a dead end with this project. I'm moving onto the new snes emulator for the ps3 and see if the saves are interchangable since I believe both psp/ps3 emulators are both 9x, we'll see how that turns out. Anyone have any success with this app yet?

No luck as of yet but i havnt had time to look into it. I have tried earthbound with the srm you are trying to use with no luck. Ive been a bit busy, and ive got spare time now but unfortunately i left my 360 at my gf's place so i cant even test anything.

To be honest, this application was made for Super Metroid, that is what i used for all my testing and it worked fine, i tried it on other game and that worked fine too so i assumed it would work fine for all games, there must be some differences in the files somewhere that i will have to look into
