Exiso.exe Gui Front End (rarto360 V2.6)
« Reply #60 on: October 09, 2010, 01:40:00 AM »

I was incredibly excited when I saw this, because it is super handy for transferring my content around.

However, after about 800MB of transferring the application quits unexpectedly.
I have tried it about 4 times, using .ISO's and .RAR's. Usually it's exiso.exe that craps out, but the most recent attempt said that the Application Layer Gateway Service that died. I am at a loss. It transfers (at good speeds) but then abruptly stops.

Any ideas? I've tried in both FSD and XeXMenu.

Settings:
IPB Image

Common error:
IPB Image
(Note: This screen shot was taken after I had already once tried to transfer over Assassin's Creed II. After it fails once, it will never reconnect via FTP until I reboot the PC. So not connecting isn't necessarily the problem; it's staying connected to finnish the transfer.)

ANY idea would be super helpful!

Thanks a bunch.

Arent the GOD files a better extraction method because it keeps a limited number of files, all 160mb(i think). Your xbox would have less lag when indexing the God files. Please correct me if im wrong!

I think they both only keep the actual files, so same size but god will show up in NXE whereas this method will not.

One error i ran into while running it in batch mode.

If there is a space in the folder name, it can not find the files in the folder and moves on to the next set in the queue.   (under windows 7 64 bit)

Other then that bug, thanks for this program! It has made my life a bit easier.

weird I thought I got rid of all the space issues in file names, ill take a look when I get some time. Don't really plan on adding too much more as it seems to work well enough for its purpose but appreciate all the feedback and comments.

... please put a selection for deleting the extracted iso (just for the RAR archive, LOL) when the ftp transfert is complete, thanks! smile.gif

Ehm, sorry for this stupid request, because is too easy, LOL!  biggrin.gif

If you want to add this feature just edit the file "Rarto360.bat", search this line:

exiso -d %gamesDir% -f %ipAddy% -s %isoName%.iso

and after add this one:

del %isoName%.iso %isoName%.dvd

I think others had issues even after disabling AVG.

I would honestly suggest uninstalling AVG and installing MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials). It is a free product from MS (assuming you have a legit copy of windows) and will work much better for protecting your computer!

Cause of the new exiso.exe the program is broken now.
To fix it open IsoTo360.cmd in notepad (right click - Edit) and search for this line:

exiso -d %gamesDir% -f %ipAddy% -s %rarLoc%\%isoName%

Replace it with:

exiso -d %gamesDir% -f %ipAddy% %rarLoc%\%isoName%

The reason you must do this is the new exe he has packed no longer supports -s and causes exiso.exe to just error and not do anything. I'm not really sure what -s is meant to do since it is no longer in there though.

Are you sure that its broken? that exiso I use takes that -s as a argument to skip systemupdate and I use it myself for my iso's.

Yeah the new version has an exiso.exe that always skips the systemupdate folder and the -s switch was removed from it. If you don't get rid of the -s from the BAT it just doesn't do anything, try putting a pause at the end of the BAT and you will see that it just prints the output for exiso.exe

The game name field is supposed to rename the folder on FTP after it's FTP'd it to your 360, not a huge deal if it doesn't work though you can just rename it manually.

So i have been using this program for about a mth now, glad i came across it smile.gif

But recently i have had issues. I tried transferring an iso to the 360 and the screen flashes for a moment and disappears. I thought it was the iso so i tried 2 other games and i get the same issue. I unrared the rarto360 again thinking the files got corrupt but same issue. It was working perfectly fine last wk. I even updated to the latest java. Nothing has changed on my pc, i have no AV or anything, as a pc tech i dont needed i rarely get any. Why would all of a sudden it just stop working? I am probably gonna try another pc later on, but i want to figure out why it works then all of a sudden nada

iono about the issue the one dude is talking about - I re-downloaded from the link in the first post and copied a game over to FSD 2 1.7 with no issues, even with the -s.

xboxhaxorz: the only issue I have seen where it works then stops is if you had a change to your network or are using some kind of VPN - for some reason exiso.exe does not like two networks being involved.

added feature for Vel although maybe not as fully as wanted - it does not ask where to save the game, it just creates a folder with the games name where the ISO is and extracts it there.

Did several tests and still cannot replicate any error using the -s option with exiso, it seems to work fine for me.

As always please post bugs/requests - I will work on it as I get time.
