Exiso.exe Gui Front End (rarto360 V2.6)
« on: September 11, 2010, 05:06:00 PM »

Simple app to extract iso contents to 360 via FTP -- if using RAR, it will extract the ISO from the archive then transfer ISO contents on the fly to the 360 (minus the $SystemUpdate folder)

IPB Image

** For FSD2 compatibility "360 Game Directory" must contain leading forward slash! /hdd1/games/ not hdd1/games/ **
** Spaces are allowed anywhere besides in the ISO name **
** 0 byte file transfer on systems with multiple network connections, see known issues **

Feel free to post bugs/concerns and questions.

Enjoy =)

=====================
Version log:
=====================

v3.3: added option to extract ISO contents in place per request
v3.2: using newer exiso.exe that skips $SystemUpdate folder altogether
v3.1: added queue viewer. game name now clears and gets focus after adding to queue. updated status window
v3:   added batch support. changed bat files to cmd files so they close on their own.
v2.8: fixed space/no space bug, spaces allowed anywhere besides in the ISO file name.
     fixed rar batch file !! ALL rips prior to 2.8 using RAR method will still have $SystemUpdate Folder !!
v2.7: applications path may now contain spaces (ex: c:\my folder\RarTo360\")
v2.6 : fixed version number and added button to link to this thread for questions /help / updates
v2.5: corrected log file error in rartoiso.bat
v2.2-4: more bugfixes, added option to select a iso from a directory
v2.1: bugfixes, thanks 1hotjob
v2: Created Gui

=====================
Known Issues:
=====================

• Transfer stops on first uploaded file with 0 bytes shown on 360 is usually a networking issue.
    - check your settings and make sure you dont have firewall on or that you dont have anything in your hosts.ini file that would block it.
    - If using multiple network connections try disabling all but the one you are using to transfer
• FTP fails on FSD2 - use leading forward slash in 360 game directory (/hdd1/games/)
• Spaces are NOT allowed in ISO name - limitation of exiso.exe not RarTo360
• exiso.exe being detected as a virus is a false positive, see full scan report here.
• Rar transfers prior to 2.8 will still have $SystemUpdate folder **

Is the rar extraction with FTP on the fly like that wonderful but buggy age old tool for the xbox called SUXX?

malacai: thanks for the info on it not working with FSD2, I had not tried it except for FSD and xex.

Duren: rar extraction is to disc in whatever directory the rars are in, but the ISO extraction is on the fly.

d33bz: glad you signed up, good to see you here!

Glad you guys are enjoying it =)

Just the tool ive been looking for! I've always kept an iso and extracted games on my drives but this will definitely save up precious hdd space and time of extraction. Hope to see it work on FSD2 soon!

Thanks a bunch! Looking forward for further updates. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

not as much a bug as it is me coding to only show iso files - I had issues with it at first but I will revisit it so that ONLY .iso files will show up.

thats not what i meant, what i meant was, when i try to open a .rar file. no .rar file shows up.
.rar only shows up if i have an .iso in same folder at the same time.

oh, sorry I misunderstood you. To extract a rar the rar must be in its own directory, not in a directory with other rar archives - so you are selecting the directory containing the rar, not the rar itself.

By selecting the directory containing the rar archive, the program knows to extract everything in the directory by scanning for files ending in .rar

in code:

rar checkbox = java directory selector
iso checkbox = java file selector

make sense?

First of all, sorry for my english... I'm french... I know, nobody's perfect...

So, there is my problem : when I want to extract an iso to my xbox 360 hdd, I click on "Go" and the software open a box asking me which software I want to use to open a file named "documents"... Why ? And it still mention "processing" in the main window...

Hope you understand me and can help ! Thank you !
