So haven't been able to completely test this out, but I so far I think it's a winner!

Few Requests:
- Be able to dump keyvault and config

- Under the "NAND Info" tab under "Image Details" after you select your nand dump, could you specify at what Block and Page the CB was found, so when we click the "View Hex..." we know exactly where to go.

Bug:
- This may be a bug or maybe I don't know how to use the compare thing, but take a look at this screenshot:
http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/4609/comparee.png
Is the "MATCHED" meant to follow the "Read  NANDs" or "Compare all NANDs" column?

Will use it some more next week.

Thanks for the great work TingedAce! Hope you keep it up ;D

Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Should be able to do that OK.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I don't think it's a bug although I admit it's a bit confusing and for only 2 NANDs it doesn't actually matter.
It's the right hand column of radio buttons that control which NAND you're using as the master to compare. If you have 3 files and one of them is bad, and you pick the bad one as the master, then the other 2 would show as mismatches against the bad one. So it lets you click through and easily check which ones match with which other ones.

Cool thanks smile.gif

So I finally got a chance to use it to dump a few nands and here's my feedback.

Bugs:
1. User specified should be 64MB not 66MB as mentioned by DARKFiB3R.

Feature Requests:

1. Possible to store user specific settings in the registry or an ini file? Things like:
   -USB checked by default
-User defined nand dump size of 64MB

2. Possible to dump the nand multiple times (user choice, max 4) with 1 click of the read?

3. Launch nandpro in a separate process so you can still minimize or interact with XNandHealer.

Thanks man biggrin.gif

can i ask a very naive question: what are ECC error blocks and can they be fixed?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll sort the 66/64 thing soon. On the feature requests, yes #1 and #2 should be feasible. #3 will need more thought, although if you're using LPT you shouldn't really be doing anything in the background. And if you're using USB, it's not long to wait   biggrin.gif

It's the 4 bytes at the end of every used page of every block in the NAND - it's like a checksum and will not correspond to the data in that page if there is even 1 bit wrong. Hence XNH can report if the NAND read encountered any errors, and if so where.

Sorry to triple post but found another issue. If the nandpro exists in a dir that has a space errors:

eg:  C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\Nandpro

To fix just wrap quotes around the path:
eg: "C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\Nandpro\Nandpro.exe" usb: -r16 nand1.bin

Thanks!

Excellent feedback RJB, thanks!

I managed to spend a few hours tonight and made the following updates:

New in Xnand Healer 0.51

     - Supports Multiple Reads in one go
     - Escape to cancel analysis
     - Changed default read length option from 66 to 64

I must admit I didn't have time to test it too much, but it seems fine.
I'm away/busy for the next couple of weeks, so thought it would be worth releasing as is.

Download from the usual place here

All feedback welcome (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Cool, Seems less buggy than previous incarnations. It's a pity I could never get findsecdata to work properly on Jaspers..... Maybe you should have added a GNU license as I would bet it will soon be found in any number of half-arsed (and often viursed) AIO's (Sorry I've got a bit of a thing for AIO's at the moment)

Keep up the good work, This will be the first Nand tool I might actually use (Not counting Cygnos toolbox of course) In my day-today JTAG related duties. Could you perhaps add an audio indicator for dump complete and allow multiple dumps unattended with custom audio/wav event-alarm. Eg; Set it to do 2-6 dumps play wav file 1 on completion of first dump and then wav file on first successful compare. These are functions I have already written into my personal .bat files used here by all of us at AGM. If you would like I can send them to you (not that I expect you need the help) Also if you could perhaps add more ways to load nands in without having dumped them in at that time then that would also be super handy.

Brgds/Dan

Hey Dan - thanks. Please go ahead and send on your bat files and I can add them directly to the app (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Cheers

Awesome! Thanks for the new release! The multiple dump option is awesome! Just tick all 4, go make coffee and return and bingo all dumps are done and compared smile.gif Top class stuff!

Will you be adding the extraction of the KV in the next release?

Also do you accept donations? I'm willing to drop 10$ for your continued work on this app smile.gif

Yes, I'll definitely be adding the KV and config extraction next. And an appconfig file to remember your settings between sessions/versions.

I hadn't thought about donations but thank you - that's very generous. I guess I could sneak in a small donate button somewhere in the next release.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Add one to the about page:

I'm willing to donate because you help speed up my jtagging work with this quality application! I'm sure you dev applications for the community because you enjoy it, but a little extra cash is also a nice motivator smile.gif Also its person dependent whether they donate or not, so you got nothing to lose smile.gif

I plan on using this to fix the corrupted saves on my modded system's hard drive but the 360 has the e74 error. Will I still be able to fix the save files or do I have to get the system working again?
