WOW! Samsung LT! I never thought I'd see the day.............

I guess it's fitting, to have them all released.. just a few months before the inevitable tsunami of ban waves that will accompany halo: reach!

here's a silly question.......... LT, it's still not possible to use it on a spoofed drive is it? I come into a lot of posession of X360 systems where I have to replace the DVD drive.. and it ends up being a Samsung.  til now, I've always just put 1.61 on there and said "good luck" to the customer.  but .. can I now put LT Samsung 1.0 on those spoofed drives, and hope for the same support with security it provides..?

Am i right in thinking that if i have LT1.1 on my benq n now ant to put LT1.2 onto it do i need my original backup files or can i just grab the key as normal thn right over the key as normal with out the use of said orignall back up files ???

also willl the same be for the LiteOn's or am i wrong altogether in my thinking and that i only need the orignal files for spoofing drives

You can re-read your drive  and use that as source fw

you don't  NEED to grab the key again, but it's a good idea, in general......... unless you're 110% sure that you've got the right key on your hard drive waiting to be flashed! then, hey.... go for it!  me personally, I have 100 different firmwares on my system....... unfortunately I didn't label my original fw very well sad.gif out of all the fw not to label well, it had to be mine. ohmy.gif

now this sucks in particular b/c... I can't get my lite-on 83450c to output the dvd key any more. it just.. refuses to!

so it seems like the best I can do, with my system is the lite-on 1.0 LT touch which, for now....... I think that'll do!

This is strange as it seems to be working fine for everybody else, but JungleFlasher 0.1.75 kept crashing on me every time I started it up (even with NO xbox 360 DVD drive connected), and the most recent time it crashed it locked my computer up completely and now Windows 7 fails to boot!

This version of JungleFlasher completely killed my computer!

Before it completely died I uninstalled and reinstalled PortIO a couple times, made sure I was running JF as administrator, etc. and it would freeze my computer on startup EVERY TIME.

Like I said, now I can't even boot into windows, it goes into a black screen saying "Windows has failed to start...... status: 0xC000000F info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible."

WTF???

Specs:

-Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
-Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16ghz
-4gm ram
-Using Nvidia Nforce 4 SATA chipset (have flashed many drives with this same board)

Actually I got my computer working again (the repair thing on the Windows disc fixed it)

I'm too scared to try and run JF again until I know what's going on though

Edit:

Ok, I ran it again, it's doing the same thing.

So what happens is, I right-click on JungleFlasher.exe, hit "run as administrator", and the UAC pops up, I hit yes, and then basically nothing happens.

It shows the "waiting" mouse icon for 30 seconds or so, then the mouse goes back to normal. CPU usage it at 1-2%.

However, something is still seriously wrong, though. If I try to run any other program, or open the start menu, task manager, ctrl+alt+delete, etc. the whole system completely freezes, and i have to manually turn it off, resulting in hdd corruption, etc.

JF does not output a log, it never pops up a window, and once I run it the system freezes if I do anything else besides move the mouse around, so I'm completely stumped here...
