Xbox 360 SMC I/O Config Utility v0.2B
Posted by XanTium | June 12 18:29 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Blackaddr released a new version of the Xbox 360 SMC I/O Config Utility - a simple utility to reconfigure output pins on the SMC that are used to execute the JTAG transaction to the GPU. It is used to research and fix problems caused by sharing SMC output pins, or caused by the bit timing of the JTAG data.

What's new/fixed:
* Linux version is now included.  Compiled with G++ on Ubuntu.
* This version has very minor updates.  I've added an interactive mode for those who like multiple choice.  This is to be more newbie-friendly.
* The program now supports modifying SMC files that have already had the I/O changed, so you don't need to keep feeding it the original when testing different configurations.

I have uploaded a .bat file that you put in the same directory as SMC I/O. You can download it here:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VFVNKP44

The command line is:

smc_io SMC_dec.bin SMC_patched.bin /i

Just make sure your original SMC file is named SMC_dec.bin.

Alright. Ran the command, patched for AUD_CLAMP only. Now, how to I "re-encrypt" and put back in my freeboot NAND which I already have?

Make a new freeBOOT image. Download from Xbins, rename "SMC_patched.bin to SMC.bin, and use it rebuild a new image.

Hoping you can help. Im trying to patch my smc to use the aud_clamp and tray_open as my jtag box randomly e79's and i have no audio on the hdmi socket, i have extracted and decrypted my smc file with 360 flash tool and have moved it to the utility folder, when i run the smc config utility i choose the cpnnections i want and hit enter but am then greeted with "ERROR, couldn't find TMS data pattern". the smc comes from a falcon box.
