OrganiseLazouzzz v1.0 NEW
Posted by XanTium | June 6 23:09 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Crazymike released a new version of Zouzzz' OrganiseLazouzzz, an organizer for LIVE, PIRS and CON files.

What's new/fixed:
* Version 1.0 supported 32 characters in the title, so I changed it to 55. I needed it to help label title updates, as the original version was cutting off most of the text.

It has really bad exception handling, I clicked organise expecting to see options (like the button says) and saw a folder trww so exited and it started moving things! No idea where too! so I stopped the process and copied the files back from my Xbox. Will try again on a little folder to see what it does...

Nothing new with the exceptions...it's always kinda been a really buggy app, I think I narrowed it down to unsupported characters in the filename, which I'll fix soon, I wasnt expecting this to be released on the main page the way it was, if I knew that, I woulda had this thing working 100%.

What are you trying to organize?

You start by clicking "Go to folder"
It will load your files from that folder, may take a minute depending on how many files you have.

When it's done, you click "Add Infos" (ONLY if you want the folder to be NAMED with the game name/ filename)  For example, for title update, file name: TU_15KQ1UH_0000004000000.00000000000G1 without Info's would be organized like this:

C:\path\organized\content\0000000000000000\Sacred 2 Title Update #2\4B4D07D1\000B0000\TU_15KQ1UH_0000004000000.00000000000G1

Without  INFO:

C:\path\organized\content\0000000000000000\4B4D07D1\000B0000\TU_15KQ1UH_0000004000000.00000000000G1

The same goes for XBLA games.

Chrysilis:  What types of files are you trying to organize?  When you click "Organize + Options" it should ask you to select a path for your files to be orgnized into.

You are correct on that one - the exception I always get is the same

System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path.

An example is 37EA8A75BC45B3EBC888A777A8F90FC2E996FB384D which is Gears of War 2 “COGs of War”

Since folders cannot have " in them, the program crashes.  I'm not sure if you can add something to replace characters or an If/Then for the illegal characters \ / : * ? " < > |
