OK I've got it sussed: The Launch.ini MUST be saved in UTF-8 format!! I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier !! It should really be somewhere in the readme !!  
Oh yeah and don't forget you have to buld the NAND version (it's the only one I observed mounting drives with cygnos toolbox, HDD just gave me a blank screen most of the time, Maybe USB works but I don't see a point in compiling it that way as it has to be flashed on to the nand with the falsher app anyway. I will do a tut for this process in the next couple of days..

I taking it as you might need to remap bad blocks as im getting a e71 from toolbox created nand
known 2 bad blocks

I asumed it would remap for you guess not

never been able to get xelloues to do anything for me other than get my cpu key lol
use a usb nand flasher to read and write

other jtags i have done have not had issues but there always must be a crappy one

xbr3 loading fine
but if i use the freeboot tool created nand e71
