Easy XBR3 To FreeBoot

Just curious, if I flash with Freeboot, that will overwrite/undo whatever dash launch does, correct? So I can simply reapply dash launch afterwards?

A full dump of your current NAND.

Freeboot already has dash launch patched in. You don't have to change anything.

Sorry if this is a completely noob question but:

Am I right in assuming that I can download my current NAND, using my USB stick, use this program and then upgrade to FreeBOOT without the need for my original NAND?

Cheers!

Thanks Sunblood. One last question if that's alright. Is Xellous a requirement? I have Xell installed atm. And Freeboot is pre-patched to automatically boot xexmenu, not FreeStyle? Apologies for the questions, appreciate your patience:)

NO, it does not the same thing "freeboot tool maker" generates a freeboot imagre from the original nand dump, and this tool can generate a freeboot image from an XBR dump (no need of the original nanad dump)...PLEASE READ BEFORE POST

Ya... last button was buggy for me too.  Look for \bin\image.bin and rename to updflash.bin.  Flash that file using Flash360.

Dont ever flash freeboot using Flash360, always use Xellous. Flash360 has some issues remapping bad blocks with Freeboot, and causes the console to fail to boot

The toolbox can also make a freeboot image out of an XBR image, there are multiple toolboxes around

If you are using Xellous what do you rename the .bin file to?

And does this take care of the update to 9199?
I ask because I just flashed and its still the old dash and yet it keeps saying it needs an update.
Which means I can't get to flash360 again so I need to try xellous to redo it?

rename it updflash.bin. if the usb stick isnt recognized in xellous, unplug the power plug for 30 seconds and try again
