Ive updated XNandHealer with a couple of useful new features. The main thing about this release is that you will no longer need to (although you may still want to) dump a NAND in full several times in order to get a match. Now you need only dump once and patch it if it contains any errors. This should save hours of time at the dumping stage, especially if youre using LPT. Right now it only supports small block 16MB NANDs, but I should be able to add Big Block NANDs in a future update.

All features have been pretty well tested with 16MB NANDs, however as with the last version I was only able to check the uncrippling feature with 16MB (Pre-Jasper) and 256MB (Jasper) images.

New in v 0.3
--------------
- Added new capability to analyze and report the integrity of each NAND dump it reports bad blocks and ECC error blocks (BB NANDs not yet supported)
- Added Fix NAND feature to automatically re-dump any offending blocks and patch them into the original dump (BB NANDs not yet supported)
- There is also the option to re-dump the bad blocks, although they shouldnt matter (since theyve been remapped) you may occasionally need to re-dump the bad block just to get an overall matching dump and increase confidence.
- Added NAND Info tab, which displays any remapped blocks and ECC error blocks and some basic info about the file (BB NANDs not yet supported)
- Added very basic Hex Viewer, more of a debug feature but allows you to view dump by block/page.

Oh wow, this is a NICE looking program. Definitely putting this in my Tools folder. Great work.

yeah it pretty nice.

one feature i would to see is that it would let you choose the amount you want to dump.

ex dump 2mb instead of the full nand.

i'll be using this though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks dude, this is awesome.

Maybe after you get the Big Dump working, you could make it so it fixes write errors b/c I had to write my NAND several times before not getting any write errors. You could make it so that the program tries to write the same hex sector to the NAND again until it is sucessful.....writes and checks for write errors.

Does this sound feasible?

Good suggestion, thanks. I expect I'd also want to combine this with partial NAND analysis. I'll give it some thought.

Yep, definitely feasible, although a little bit less of an exact science since when you read back the blocks you won't know for sure if any errors are because the write was bad or it was a new read error. Still, I can envisage an iterative approach where it just keeps re-writing the suspect blocks until there are no errors.

Great app. I used an older version to uncripple my 256 jasper thru lpt.. it took a long time.. is it possible to import a dump from somewhere else (xellous) and then just patch? It Would save ALOT of time.

great programm but do not get it to work. It search my lpt and starts a dummy file but then stops and shows nothing. The debug file gives me an error like 240 block 0.

Does anyone now how to get my xbox fixed with this. My xbox gives now an e72 error

It sounds like the very first block of your NAND is a bad block, which I didn't consider and didn't account for, sorry! Should be able to fix in a future rev.

In the meantime you'll need to use nandpro manually. Once you get 3 matching dumps, you'll still be able to use the uncrippling part of the app.

Actually, just checked this and it should still work if the first block is bad. Can you provide more details?
