Many thanks for your application. I donate to you, you deserve it!
I just installed in my windows (win 7 64 bits) and seems to be OK, my XBOX 60GB HDD was recognized. However how to transfer the files that is currently in my computer HDD? I tried copy/paste but unsuccessfully. I only can see the XBOX HDD in the Xbox commander and no other HDD so how to transfer the files from one HDD to another? Sorry my doubt seems pretty basic  uhh.gif  but I just start into the jtag business, hehe

If Drag and drop of files is not working for you, try turning off the UAC. I thought I had that fixed, but some ppl are still having problems with it.

Request:  when delete action selected, any chance of some kind of progress or activity indicator?  Delete seems to take quite a bit of time for even say 20 files and no indication of if things are going or not until the delete completes and the screen refreshes.

Thanks.

I've got Windows 7 64 bit installed on my machine and for some reason, the program freezes when I want to make a backup of my 120GB HDD. It does recognize it and displays the contents, but it will not do anything else.
Should I wait for a while to give it a chance or should it start transfering right away ?

Thanks.

Yes it will work with the 40gb drive. I have not tested with that size drive but there is no reason for it not to work. You will get an error that the HDSS size does not match the physical size. just answer yes or select to use the physical(actual) size of the drive.

Yes.
If you do a backup of the 20gb drive then restore to the 120gb drive. This method will wipe the files from the 120gb before restoring the files from the backup. So save any files you need by copying them off before the restore and copy them back onn after the restore.

WBones, how did you go about finding the line to edit in your Hard Disk? I checked an official hdd120.bin and neither of my actual pc drives have any lines in common with that. If anything it would, in fact, be the hdd120.bin that's the culprit, and not any of the other sizes, but again, I doubt i've actually ever ran to completion the HDDHackr software on this laptop, and definitely not with at least one of these drives.

Any help is appreciated, as I do not realistically expect an update of the software just to solve my very minor problem.

I've VERY successfully used this program on my friends computer, and it works FAST! So it's definitely a great program. just want to get it working on my own computer. Gonna be using this awesome program to transfer my 120GB drive to the slim xbox's 250GB drive, when I get one shortly.

you can get the program to support transfer between two xbox360 drives (fatx) and support all hard drive sizes as for example 1TB \ 1.5 tb \ 2TB?

Thank you, icepir8icepir8, WBones and all else who posted on checking for the hdss sectors biggrin.gif!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a very risky move on my part, but I went and found the offsets, marked the block and filled it with 0s! Now it's no longer detecting the PC hard drive, and I even made sure to restart to check if I damaged anything important. Everything went smoothly, and I can now see my xbox hard drive and all its glorious content biggrin.gif. This was actually kinda good, cuz it helped me to stop being lazy and finally make a current image of my PC tongue.gif

The program rocks, and this community's (and your own) help is stellar! Now all I have to figure out is where two off my xbla games went tongue.gif But at least now I can.

Also, I can confirm that drag-and-drop is still not working under win7 x64. So how would I transfer to my drive then? I ALWAYS have UAC off (I have protection, don't worry), plus I set the program's compatibility option to run it in admin mode. Still no luck sad.gif But I see that's a big "to-do", so i'll quietly wait for an update now. Making great strides here, people, and I'm learning a lot biggrin.gif

I followed the above steps and the profile became corrupt on the new 120GB drive.

What's the problem?

@martin: was your xbox previously banned from going online? because getting banned puts a flag in your profile that corrupts it when you use it on another box or, in your case, switch to another hard drive. at least that's what i'm guessing. you could probably use the con flag remover utility, and then the hash block calculator to fix it. Unless there's an entirely different reason for corruption.

boy, is my face red now. I went to the windows Action Center to check UAC settings. And they were set to the lowest (I'm pretty sure that means off, the bottom of the slider), then when I clicked ok, it was telling me to restart, although I hadn't changed anything. When I restarted my computer later, I was suddenly able to drag-and-drop into our fine program...... go figure? Ah well, all's well now! So your fix did work, icepir8icepir8. I guess "you're doing it wrong" applies to all those who it's not working for under win7 x64.

All my problems are solved now.
