You will need to restore Partition2 using Xplorer360 Extreme2 (get this from a retail M$ drive using Xplorer360 Extreme2) If you are using a non M$ hard drive you will need to add the partitions manually first for Xplorer360 Extreme2 to see the drive. Otherwise you will get a "No fatx partition found" error.

Add the missing partition manually starting at byte 0x80000 of your non M$ Drive. You need to make it look like:

58 54 41 46 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 01

So, the easy way to do this: open your drive with winhex( http://www.x-ways.net/winhex.zip) by pressing F9, select yournon M$ drive, press <ALT>+G, use position 80000 (hexadec) and then edit these 16 bytes starting at 0x80000 to look like above. Save it, restart the xplorer360 Extreme 2 and the FATX error should be gone and you should see 2 partitions now.

This info came from thespecialist a while back when he discovered what xplorer360 is looking for and then using xplrer360 Extreme2 restore partiton 2 you backed up from your M$ HDD. You will not be able to see anything in partition 3 with Xplorer360 Extreme2 but I recommend if you google this "FATXplorer 1.0 app developed by Eaton Cracked by Cyrax" you will find a cracked version and it even tells you what game the numbered folders are.

Now you will need to run the Update for Xbox1 Compatibility. you can find this here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

After downloading this file extract it and burn to a cdr and put it in your 360. it will show like it is a game. play it and install it. (I recommend trying a retail Xbox1 game to make sure it is all ok) Congrats you now have Xbox1 Emulation partiton restored and working.

That file is included in the archive and needs to be in the same directory as the main application.

That file is what allows the app to show game names.

May i suggest something. How about implementing a "read only" mode ? I'm getting my stuff corrupted so much that even an action of backing up saves/profiles sometimes corrupts.

Just yesterday i got my Forza3 saves corrupted and a day before that, while transferring some GODs from the disk to my desktop my profile files just vanished into thin air. Folders remained, but empty. Go figure.

Now i'm starting an experiment - will be using ONLY 360commander for ANY file transfers.
As per common sense i have backed up my saves/profiles and formatted disk on my jtag jasper xbox (16mb board).

I'm not sure anymore what corrupts my drive all the time.

Just for your info, KrK.
Machine i use is custom built by me, and works fine otherwise.
E6600 (stock), 3gb ram, 8800gts 640mb, mboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R.
Use ebay bought transfer kit cable.

Thanks. Any info you can give me to track down bugs the better. I am trying to work out some kind of logging system for XBox 360 Commander, but it's not easy. It would have to be something that could be turned on and off and provide useful data. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am going to redo the backup/restore compleately I suspect that is bugs there causing problems.

I can add the read only mode in the next rev. that is a good idea.

Should I work on adding an Undelete function to XBox 360 Commander? There seems to be a need for it.

Probably would be nice, but might be better to get the current features fully functional before throwing another possible problem into the mix (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My vote would be for something to extract files from the XBC backup containers.

XBox 360 Commander checks for partitions 0 and 3 to verify that it is connecting to a Xbox 360 HDD. You may need to create the partitions 0 and 2 manually.
Xbox 360 Hard Drive Upgrade tells you how to do this.

Sorry to have been out of touch, but real life rears its nasty head. I am currently working 2 jobs, part time nights at Wal Mart and a full time temp job at Dick's Sporting Goods corporate offices. 4 nights and 5 days is probably slowly killing me. I am working on Commander still in what little time I have. I hope to release the next rev next weekend. wacko.gif

I have a problem. I just started using XBOX 360 Commander (Rev. 22) and it works like a charm...but on my friend's desktop computer.

Problem is, it will not work on my own laptop, because, for some reason, it detects the first hitachi drive it can find (my computer has 2 pc formatted hitachi drives), and they never have been used as 360 drives, so they should not have an HDDSS on them.

I've been reading that this fine program should not detect it at all if it doesn't have any sort of HDDSS on it.

I'm unable to currently use this program on my laptop because of this, and it's the main computer I currently use for everything sad.gif otherwise, great program!

If you have run HDDHACKR on the laptop it may have written a HDDSS record to the incorrect drive. I had this happen and the drive continued to work for window until I used xplorer360 to restore an image to the hard drive and it chose my pc hard drive and corupted it. You can check this using winhex or simular programs. If a HDDSS record is on the drive just zero fill the sectors where the HDDSS is stored.

This is a commond enough problem that I will add a test for it. Hopefully I can have it in the next rev.

I've never run it on this laptop, that i know of, in fact, these are both 500GB drives that i put in way after I even messed with custom xbox hard drives. Just in case though, what am I looking for using winhex (i have it, as I've got a "custom flashed" 120GB xbox 360 hdd).
