ISO2GOD v1.3.2
Posted by XanTium | March 22 18:54 EST | News Category: Xbox360

KrK / Team 360h released a version of ISO2GOD, a PC app for converting Xbox 360 ISO images straight into Games on Demand containers.

What's new/fixed:
+ Extraction of thumbnails from Xbox1 ISO images.
This release adds support for thumbnail extraction from an Xbox1 ISO's default.xbe. If the XBE has provided a thumbnail for savegames this will be used for preference. If the save thumbnail isn't present then the title thumbnail will be used instead.
There is currently an issue with certain games where it's not possible to convert the thumbnails from XPR->DDS->PNG due to the data being in a non-standard DDS format. If anybody has a detailed specification for the XPR format used in the $$XSIMAGE/$$XTIMAGE sections of an XBE, feel free to get in touch.
+ Option to "auto-browse" for an ISO image when adding an ISO to convert.
~ Improvements to XBE code.
~ Removed debug code from v1.3.1.

It's probably a false positive, I got the same alert with MS Security Essentials.

What does the auto-browse feature actually do?

amazingly nice tool!

makes a lot easyer!!

xbe image extraction very buggy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

i were able to extract these files properly with the help of dexbe and xprextract combined with an dds to jpg converter!

is it possible to make the icons appear at the "achievment progress" section?

regards

You can add an exception if you go into settings and then threats and exclusions. Just add the folder and Kaspersky AV should leave it alone. Hopefully it is a false positive.

The reason for the virus detection is due to xextool.exe being protected by a program called ASPROTECT which alot of virus scanners detect as a virus, it isnt a virus but it does enter some things into the registry apperently and it can also be used to hide virus's in EXE's.
Also if you remove the ASPROTECT from xextool.exe it stops it being detected as a virus (which can be done easily)

Sry if this has been answered but I´ve searched this forum and others and a few have asked the same questions but I can´t see that anyone got any complete answers.

1. After I use this program to convert a ISO to the GOD files. Is it possible to use them on an external USB HDD? Or are the GOD files just compatible with the official MS HDD´s?

2. Atm I use "Xbox Image Browser" to unpack an .ISO. I then transfer them to my USB HDD to a Game folder and then use "QuickBoot" to get a quickboot launcher that is visible inside NXE -> My Games. What is actually the difference between this method and the GOD files method? Pros/Cons between them?
