ISO2GOD v1.3.0
Posted by XanTium | March 19 00:29 EST | News Category: Xbox360

KrK / Team 360h released a version of ISO2GOD, a PC app for converting Xbox 360 ISO images straight into Games on Demand containers.

What's new/fixed:
+ Support for conversion of Xbox1 ISO images.
Now that it's possible to execute Xbox XBEs using the Xbox1 emulator, it seemed like a good time to add in support for Xbox1 ISO conversion to Iso2God.
Xbox1 titles cannot be run from Games on Demand containers, but thanks to some hard work by rab, it turns out they run just fine when launched from an Xbox Originals container which use a different content type of 0x00005000. Keep in mind if the default.xbe for the Xbox1 ISO has been altered in any way, or is not on the official compatibility list, you'll need to use the modified Xbox1 emulator which was leaked recently. Not all titles will work 100% as they will only work if the emulator supports them.
Thanks go out to rab for his work in getting Xbox titles up and running from GOD containers and the large amounts of testing he ends up doing for I2G.
~ Changed starting sector of rebuilt ISOs to match SDK.
~ Fixed handling of Unicode characters in Title Names.
~ Fixed issue when custom thumbnails were loaded.
~ Fixed error when a queued conversion with no thumbnail was edited.
~ Lots of other boring tweaks and fixes.

Great Job! Thank you for your efforts.

This may have been answered before but does this program take out the $systemupdate folder from the iso when creating a GoD package?

are you stupid? with the hack xbox1 emu you can boot .XBE files from your hard drive .. and it will be exactly the same as boot from the god.

Now THIS is useful smile.gifsmile.gif

Because you can't officially install Xbox 1 games onto the 360 HDD, it will fill the niché perfectly smile.gif

I'm confused, who even has (or has ever had) original untouched XBOX1 ISO's? I mean, back in the day, the greatness of XBOX1 modding was in programs like DVD2XBOX, which copied the filesystem contents of the XBOX1 disc to hard drive for smaller size and faster launch times. Even moreso, whats the point of making sure that only completely untouched XBOX1 ISOs are converted at all, instead of using the hacked emulator files to run the XBE of the game? Its not like XBOX LIVE will support these games much longer for network play, and to do ANY of this you would need a JTAG'd console, which shouldn't ever be taken on LIVE anyway.

My question: whats the point? Who are these XBOX1 features useful to? I appreciate updates and bugfixes to the program, and I appreciate new features (as we all should!) but I really have no idea what the drive behind this new feature ever was.

I like to point out that this was 90% my work (Nknave) and 10% Rab's work.

How?

Look at the main thread in xboxhacker.org: http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=14164.0
where I put in the concept and the idea.
I didn't get it to work cause I was depending on third party tools (Le Fluffie) that
only corrupted the CON file and didn't allow the game to boot.

What Rab did, that I didn't was to go on the Hex simple side and byte flip 0x00007000 to 0x00005000,
rehashed 0x344 to 0xAFFF and put that SHA-1 checsum on 0x32C.

At that time, this is something I wasn't sure of and did have much faith on Le Fluffie.

None the less, enjoy this find that has been around for a little over two weeks.

Cheers.

I can't believe you're bitching about features being added!!!

Who has untouched ISOs? Well you should, for a start. Just rip the original disc and you have -gasp- an untouched ISO. If your entire complaint is because you're referring to pirated software, go away - we neither need or want you here.

The thing about untouched ISOs is that the official Xbox 1 emulator needs them to run the game. Why do you think the hacked version removed the signature checks?

It doesn't say only untouched ISOs will be converted - read it again.

Why is this useful? for those of us who want to access their games through NXE, this utility works perfectly for it.

I've replied as best I can because frankly, your rant is as meaningless as your argument.

Well put.

On a side note: FreeStyle Dash doesn't recognize Xbox Original GODs yet it seems, at least not in 1.10 FINAL

Yea Freestyle 1.10 Final didn't even support launching xbe's from file manager and has no xbox1 section either, since I wanted to try these out I found a more recent SVN version that supports XBOX1 xbe launching and has the xbox1 originals section, (and they built in a NAND flasher now too it seems)

anyways google "freestyle dash rev181" and enjoy, it works great for me.

off-topic

I got this to work great, only problem is I want to have the originals in the NXE, Quick boot doesn't support xbe so I don't know what else to try. Freestyle Dash recognizes ISO2GOD but freezes the console when you try to run the game.
