I don't think it has anything to do with container size, because my Halo 2 GOD is 4,5 GB. But I don't have a clue to what that error means, sorry.

yah,  i dumped all demo files and foreign language files on the disk to make it 2.7GB and it still does the same, i'm beginning to think its hard coded to play from device DVD:

Guys what tools are you using to get the xbox game icons from the iso or xbe files? I have been looking for hours but cant find anything.

I've copied the saveimage.xbx from the hard disk after playing the game (or from my real xbox 1) - it's in UDATA. Use xbx tools to extract the dds file from it. Open the dds file in gimp (needs the dds plugin http://nifelheim.dyn...~cocidius/dds/) and resave as png. Sounds a bit long winded, but it actually only takes a minute.

saveimage is the right size (64x64), titleimage is too large (128x128) so don't use this.

We could really do with collecting them somewhere, I've extracted about 5 for games i wanted on my 360.

edit: this forum doesn't allow you to link to other xbox forums so i can't include a link to xbx tools, but google for it and you'll find it easy enough

Iso2god lets you use any image and it also resizes it for you, just click the square box and select your image.

Cheers m8, got that software and it's all sorted now - thanks. I'm just building my GOD now so hopefully it will work.

Cool just converted crash twinsanity and it worked fine - apart from the icon not showing up - but Im guessing that's because I used a 32 bit png instead of a 24 bit png.

Wow this is great.

I managed to convert 3/3 with png's obtained from saveimage.xbx or titleimage.xbx.
I did JSRF USA (supported), Shadow of Memories PAL (not supported  wink.gif, and Largo Winch PAL (not supported wink.gif
The last two I made working using JSRF ID and changing the region to USA.

Tools used were insertxsf to prepare the .iso for Iso2God, C-Xbox Tool to extract/replace the xbe, hex editor to change the region to USA and replace the unsupported game ID with that of JSRF (all inside default.xbe), hacked xbox compatibility files, including the updated xbox.xex, XBXTools + Gimp + DDS Plugin to extract/convert the image file to png, and of course God2XB1 to convert the Iso2God stub file to GOD.

Many thanx to all of you that contributed, esp to Krk, rab, and the people in this thread who mentioned the above tools.

Correct. It could be posted but it contains copyright material, but then so do the hacked emulator files that have been posted, probably the reason no one wants to is that they are large.

Cool, maybe a list could be made with xbox-scene community effort of games that somewhat work with other games title ids.

BTW, anyone noticed horrible slowdown in some games like Jet Set Radio Future and DOAU in 720p?

DOAU is pretty much unplayable due to the slowdown. Could it be because of the hacked emulator?

PS: Anyone got Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath working?

What is the NTSC Title ID of Jet Set Radio you are using?

I can't get Jet Set to work.

The title id is 5345000A.

Run XbeFix on the XBE to see if the XBE is valid.

I will try that, but these are straight off the retail discs! The SegaJSRF.xbe is from the SegaGT/JSRF combo disc, but should work (I bought this too, just in case).

P.S. I can't find XBEFix (any version). I keep finding links to losers site, but the link is dead.

I don't know about JSRF working off the combo disc as I ripped mine from a standalone NTSC disc.

My JSRF works great on a 24" Acer, no slowdowns.
It's the same as the first one you posted (some differences in the alt sig's though).

To install Partition 2 on my new HDD, I used XeDev's hdd_compat_partition_fixer_v1.zip, XeXMenu to copy the folders and files from my old 20GB HDD, and then applied the latest updates from M$.  Maybe you need to apply those updates for JSRF to be supported, not sure.

In any case, try BackCompat_11-2007.zip first, which contains a 12.6MB default.xex (execute this with XeXMenu or XeXLoader), then try $SystemUpdate_12-2007.zip which is only 6.7MB.  That's what I did.

I then decided to copy over the hacked files from le_uberfry, which helped me play those PAL xbox games patched as NTSC.  But that's another story... (have a look here http://www.xboxhacke...p?topic=14164.0 for that).

If you do what I did first, you should be able to boot JSRF though.

Good luck

All the .xbe's are already good. Still getting "This original Xbox game is not supported on your...An update to support this game..."  X:5014.0 B:1884.0

Have you tried using the latest version of the emulator? Maybe this older version you have really doesn't support it, like the message says.
