Hi Guys. Direct Copy Of Readme.

*************XBOX1Crew Presents***************

This is just a proof of concept that you can use a database 2 display what the content of each folder has by grabbing folder name searching it in
a database & then returning back its value.

People who cant run this try both exe's. If they dont work , Please research into the error. Im running windows 7 & got it running.

http://www.winhelpon...ning-a-program/

THIS IS A PROOF OF CONCEPT.

THIS PROGRAM IS WRITTEN IN VB.

THANKS TO THE OWNER OF THE FTP SOURCE.

OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE.

This Would be great if this Mod was added into the source of FILEZILLA Client found at

http://filezilla-pro.../sourcecode.php

Please look at this screen shot where a perfect place to display the info would be.
IPB Image

I know its possible as it took me less then 15 mins & 9 lines of code in Visual Basic 6.

***********************************************************************************************
Obviously there is more code so download the full source code if u wanna see it.
***********************************************************************************************

Set db = OpenDatabase(App.Path & "\folders.mdb")
Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT * FROM Table1 where folder=""" & Item.Filename & """")

If Not rs.EOF Then

.SubItems(1) = "< " & rs.Text & " >"

Else
.SubItems(1) = "< Directory >"
End If

Set rs = Nothing
Set db = Nothing

i dont get it

its an edited FTP browser that, for the content folders, retrieves the filenames so lets say :
content/14464444544
theFTP Client would, in an extra column, display the "real" name, "worm blaster" or w/e

nice idea ^^

This is a good idea, the thought did cross my mind...

@thegame_evolution - refer to the picture, this program turns the numbers and letters (of folder names) into meaningful words (like game names for example).

I think if someone can port it to FileZilla it would be a good idea

Got to test this a bit and love it,was able to remove two empty game folders that filezilla and flashfxp wouldnt delete or enter.plus i was able to delete a handfull of xbla folders that i had dumped on hdd, this worked better then using the 360's file manager .
Managed to find one bug were it didnt like to delete a folder that had multiple subfolders, but hey i was beta testing looking for bugs.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
thanks for contributing to tehScene and spreading the love, just the general idea of knowing what a folder actualy is rather then it is content\0000000000000000000000000000000000\068654\7975564379
helps alot.

c++ coder is needed to port that Function to filezilla ftp , good at coding or want to sexor us up then contribute by looking us up in the usual places . . .
