GOD2ISO v1.0.0 *update: v1.0.1*
Posted by XanTium | February 27 18:30 EST | News Category: Xbox360

Rab released the first version of GOD2ISO (yes, backwards) on xboxhacker.org:
Quote

Just a tool I quickly knocked up to get back a lost iso from the god [Games on Demand container] I'd made. Thought it might come in handy for others in a similar situation. It's not had a lot of testing though!

I think this is only useful for gods made with iso2god, I'm not sure what format the nxe installed games are in (i.e. god2iso runs fine on them, but I don't know what tool you can then use to view the result).

*Update* v1.0.1 fixes problems with older versions of Windows.

Please note: v1.0.0 only worked on Windows 7, v1.0.1 should work on older versions of Windows too (http://rapidshare.com/files/356838923/God2Iso_v1.0.1.rar).

Interesting tool. Anybody know how to change GoD names? I don't like the way some games are named when installed via NXE: some games are all caps for some reason, I want "Call of Duty" in front of Modern Warfare 2, etc. I was thinking this tool could help since Iso2God lets you choose the name.

would this work if a had a 'modified .iso' on my JTAG? I mean if I had an extracted game on my system, replaced a few files, remade the iso with this then burnt the resulting dual layer (with stealth added).

Would this work? Or is there another way i'm not aware of?

Cheers

Great to see all these apps so we can convert from various formats.  Always comes in handy.

Would love to see a directory to GOD package converter though.  Call it DIR2GOD? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)   I have a lot of games stored on external USB HDD and would love to be able to convert them to GOD packages if I want to.  But for now I can use Crear2ISO then ISO2GOD to accomplish this.

Updated again to 1.0.2
"Now works on god made by Iso2God (with XSF header) and some tools that produce gods without an XSF header. Some/all NXE installs (converted to god) have XSF header stripped and have incorrect offsets in them. I don't know how the xbox works around this, but if I find out I'll be able to add support for them too"

to reiterate someone elses question earlier.....

so does that mean the resulting iso will be perfectly valid, with all random padding etc......and that it will match an item in the abgx360 database (even if abgx obv has to reinject ss pfi etc)

Finally Somebody else is thinking like I am... I also want an App that can accomplish this, but currently there is no way to rebuild padding correctly.
