Wow.. Almost a 20c drop in the falcon with 100% fan speed.   GREAT WORK!

How fast will the fans go with automatic?   I've never heard the fans go as loud as they are now with the 100% speed, but obviously the 360 needs it.   Does automatic even hit 70% speed?

What is the hottest temp the gpu should hit?  100% is really loud but worth it, if it prevents RROD.

As mentioned earlier, an automatic patch with lower thresholds would be great, but how would we know what the thresholds should be?  It will obviously be different for each of the console revisions.    A stress test would be helpful so we know what the highest temps would be and we can go from there.

Also, what are the chances that the temps can be displayed while playing a game?

Testing out with a Falcon. Left running for 5mins at idle within xexmenu 1.1 to get better results.

80% Results:

CPU: 41.6C / GPU: 44.5C / MB: 28.3C

Noise: There appears to be a significant jump in noise from 70% to 80%.  Don't know if i'd like it at this noise level all the time.  Might not notice that much when playing games, but watching videos would be distracting.  Luckly i have a Ps3 for that content.

70% Results:

CPU: 50.1C / GPU: 58.5C / MB: 32.3C

Excellent app....will save many a 360 from the RROD, thanks !

I get the "game could not be started" message as well... original FanSpeedFlasher works fine. I have a Jasper with flash config: 00023010. Is this why?

Well my falcon runs at around 58c For my cpu and around 50c for gpu after two hours of dantes inferno. It was idling at 65 before so this is a big improvement but your guys numbers are much lower than mine. Are you using any other mods whisper fans, shroud mod, ect. Im trying to decide wether pulling my dvdrom out would lower it a few degrees more. i also plan on doing the shroud mod. Let me know what mods you guys are using if any to help others fine tune.

idle XENON 60%:
60 ºC cpu, 43 gpu, 43 edram

nice!!

do u guys think it's possible a .xex that would mantain ideal temperatures??

auto goes to 60...70...80 etc?

we could set a goal ºC and fan speed would respect our consfig and increase or decrease speed.

for example. my goal is:

CPU MAX: 68
GPU MAX: 55
EDRAM MAX: 50

if some of this values reaches that certain limit, .xex would increase 10% , if not enough after 60 seconds, more 10%

after decreases 5 ºC from that limit, it will slow down 10%.

can u guys tell me if this is possible? if so, can somebody make it please? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

no I think you need the old program.  it's called fantools.zip and you patch that autospeed.xex

I would imagine mass effect 2 really pushes the hardware

What stock system are you using/ Mine is a falcon running at 100% Ive noticed now my temp never exceeds 45 for gpu and 56 for cpu even after gaming for 3 hours. This was after shroud mod which apparently lowered the gpu temp by about 6 degrees. I oredered up a pair of whisper fans anyways just for that little bit extra cooling.

Is your Falcon not really noisy on 100% ?  I tried mine at 80% & 100% and it was just too loud for my tastes.
Might upgrade the stock cooling and see how it goes then.

Its alot louder I imagine even louder with whispers running at 100%. The sound however is easily drowned out by my 7.1. Ill update my temps once I add ram sinks to memory and upgrade fans.

before you couldnt even tell my box was on it was idling at about 15degrees hotter than what I get gaming now.  I have never seen an xbox ramp the fans up this high even when starting to overheat.

mkay, i have a jtagged 256MB Jasper... has a fanspeed flasher xex been released for Jaspers?

someone in this thread said they got it to work on a jasper.

can someone please help by posting exact instructions on how to make this work?

i tried running a 70speed.xex  i downloaded from xbins, and i dont think it did anything.. i want 100speed though.
