Quix And Xbox 360 .isos?
« on: January 18, 2010, 02:55:00 AM »

With XeXmenu being released and having FTP support (thanks guys  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ), I decided to see if I could get Quix to work with it. I appreciate Quix is older than the hills and made for the original xbox, but an old thread says that it can open 360 .iso files. It connects the the 360's FTP just fine, and I am able to add the 360's drive and games folder, but when I try to open an xbox 360 .iso I get 'identifier not found! possible corruption?'

Anyone had any luck getting it to open 360 .isos?

Yeah that's how I'm doing it right now, and it works just fine. Would be nice to get Quix working though as it would bypass extracting the iso first, Quix extracts and uploads on the fly smile.gif

So I just have to rip the iso using image browser ftp and it will boot? no disc burning needed?

The only way I got Quix1.x to work on my x360 iso backups is to first extract the game data partition using Schtrom360Xtract: Tools/Image Extract/Extract "game.iso"
After that Quix reads the extracted game.iso like on the old xbox1 games.

Still a double extract is required, I do not know if Schtrom360Xtract is faster than xboximagebrowser thou. I'm using Schtrom360Xtract 4.1, btw.
But you don't need to extract all the files atleast.
Hope that Quix 2 is coming soon now when the FTPd is available.
A ISO to NXE-GOD conversion feature in a future Quix version is on my wishlist for sure. tongue.gif

Keep up the good work, all!
