I guess I am an idiot, but I am having trouble with the windows 7 x64 portio64.sys installation.  I have used the DSEO program before.

So I place portio64.sys in C:\Windows\System32\drivers and then run DSEO entering that path to sign that as a system file and then I am enabling test mode.

Then I right click jungleflasher and click run as administrator and I still get the "Can't install the portio64.sys driver" error message.

I have tried this with my via drivers installed and without.
I have done things like this before (like TCP-Z) so I assume I am missing some easy, stupid step and over thinking this.

I was afraid to ask this question, but since this is new there is very little information on it and I search and tried a dozen different things.
Any help for a stupid person?

You need to temp sign the driver using DSEO. Make sure you are in test mode, you should have a watermark confirming that.
Thanks to all involved, x64 implementation kicks arse smile.gif

I made a new thread in the Technical DVD forum regarding laser calibration data being inside of lite-on firmware.

I would really like to see some input from any Team Jungle members. If it's true and if it is important then it would be great to see Jungle Flasher move this data from source to target when using a complete lite-on firmware dump as source.

See the thread here

Does "full support for encrypted lite-on, source and target"  mean that I can flash my 74850c without a key extractor?

Well I meant that can Jungle Flasher decrypt the key for 74850c like how it can for some models of the 83850c using software only.

can anyone post what they did on windows 7 or vista x64 version? I open JF 0.1.69 in administrator mode and it can never install portio64.sys at all.

and yes I did follow the instructions in the portio-kai readme

You probably didn't read the included readme smile.gif

Portio is loaded on-the-fly
So no need to install it anymore.

You do need to run win7 in test mode though, so read up

Indeed: Thanks everyone involved!
And c4eva offcourse for the firmware! Hope to see more updates in the near future wink.gif

For the 32 bit version of PortIO, is this a new version with Windows 7 support.  I have not been able to get JungleFlasher to send the drive intro in Windows 7.  I can only get it to work every time with Windows XP.  I have tried starting JF in Admin mode, no dice.

Is there something I am doing wrong in Windows 7 for JF not to be able to send drive intro to the Lite-On?

*Rubs eyes, reads again* 64bit support? Awesome! Thanks!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
That my was most wanted feature as my primary OS is Vista x64. I've been having to flash Liteon drives using a copy of WinXP installed onto a 2gb USB flash drive, which does work but is painfully slow every step of the way. Thanks to the team for continued development and improvement of this app.

This is a Godsend, I can finally ditch my XP 32bit dual boot. It's working nicely in my W7 64bit, but whenever I try to load 'template_ix16-liteon93450_nostealth.bin' into the target area I get a 'Parse Failed !' error. It loads all other non-stealth 1.6 files just fine, including the 83850Cv2 template.

Anyone else come across this issue?
