There's probably no need to do be posting all these images. Just use LeFluffie and open any gamesave for that title. Extract the package and rename the 'Content Image.png' to be something more meaningful smile.gif

i already try quickboot

1. i already extrct xbox 360 games to pc folder
2. remove media check
3. put all into j:\games\   (j is usb flash disk with 7.3 GB free)
4. create Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\ folder in j:\
5. running quickboot then fill in the requirement like path =  usb:\games\default.xex
6. put the live container into point 4 folder

then try on xbox 360 and go to game & demos, but not listed there , why ?

my question
1. are this tool work on regular xbox, with normal dash, or only work with modified xbox 360 with jtag etc ?
2. are this tool supposed to be compatible with usb flash disk, or usb hdd only ?
3. if something wrong in point 1 & 2 , will it still listed on game & demos, but not work, or not listed at all ?

please help me .......

How do you load XeXLoader at the moment? You need to put the created QuickBoot package in the same folder either on your MU or 360 HDD.

pleaase help with my quewstion above ,

basically is this tool supposed to work on all xbox 360 or only with xbox already modified with jtag etc.

also is this tool compatible with usb flash disk or usb hdd only

Think about it - if this could be done with ALL 360s, we wouldn't need XBR or FreeBoot  rolleyes.gif

i assume this tool is created so we don't need xexloader, and i read  that this tool work on standard dashboard
and xexloader purpose only for extracting only,

i'm extacting from xbox360 iso using xbox backup creator with extracting tool option

You're right - you don't need XeXLoader but the question is still valid. You're copying the package to the J drive - is this where your XeXLoader is?

j drive is  usb flash disk i connected to pc

on j drive there is 2 folder

\games\(all files from games iso, including defualt.xex etc in here)
\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\Avtr

(i exported xbox live container, using quickboot and exported using Avtr name)
(path i choose are usb:\games\default.xex)

and i already using gameshack360, to remove all media check using default option when program started

then i remove drive j and put on standard xbox 360 with standdr dash, but nothing listed on games&demos
this is just standard xbox 360 with modified firmware nothing else, nothing jtag or cynos

i just using usb flash disk actually and not usb hdd

So you're just running a flashed DVD drive? What do you expect to happen?

so basically this tool still need  modified  kernel etc ?
so  we still need heavily modifiex xbox 360 ?

anyway thnx for answer

I'd already posted a response to this - if this is all we needed to do to play games from the HDD, we'd all be doing it and would be front page news (not saying this isn't newsworthy because this is an excellent utility!!). The only way to run unsigned code on a 360 is either from a Dev box, or a retail box running XBR or FreeBoot.

copy image location if you are unsure of what game these are for.
all thumbnails ripped from the xex itself. no discrepencies, nothing hand made.

What tool are you using to get the thumbs from the xex file?

abgx360.
in options, uncheck EVERYTHING except use colors.

in autofix, set to 0
in rebuilding, set to dont rebuild
in misc, select 'extract images when using html ouput' and also check 'embed them in html'

at the bottom in program output select html file.. pick any name/location.

load iso/directory and click launch. it SHOULD bring up a internet window with the first picture being the game thumbnail. right click it in firefox and click save as.

takes only a few seconds.

Or...

Copy a gamesave onto a USB stick and open it with LeFluffie.
Extract the contents.
The file you want is either Content Image.png or Package Image.png. In most cases they're the same image.

hah. Great app.

Just a little story, I told jester to make a live container shortcut (just like this) application, and with his massive ego all he could tell me was how stupid and useless his idea was. Well this makes xexloader look like shit, since we can use the original dash and not that crappy thing that launches xex's.

Great App

Had a little trouble at first was putting usb1:\ instead of just usb:\ but hey got it worked out eventually.

Also with certain games i get disc unreadable any ideas ?

Is there any way to have these come up as games instead of game demos ?

Thx in advance

I have a Quickboot-generated file working on a borrowed Xbox360 hard drive.

It shows in the games list on the dash and launches the game from the USB hard drive.

However, the same file in the same directory on the memory unit doesn't.  mad.gif

xexloader works fine from the memory unit, but my Quickboot launcher isn't listed.

Can someone confirm that this is by design, or should it work from a memory unit?

1: Will install XP in a virtual machine and figure out why you need the thumbs in the same dir as quickboot.

2: I have a memory stick so will test and get it working with them.

3: This is in no way competition to XexLoader, they're two completely different things, both apps have been released from the FreeXex team and you're going to love the upcoming changes in XexLoader. This is purely there to give you more choice and get you in to your games quicker.

And deTOP I haven't personally tried but I'm 99% sure the Content folder needs to be on an internal hdd, an official memory stick or a dvd. It can't be on a standard usb stick or drive.
