Ok - this was written to assist those who weren't keen on having to resolder the header to a level shifter, putting it into ISP mode etc should they need to flash/reflash the header.

Contents: Tutorial in MS Word format, XSPIFlash.bin for flashing and LPC-2148.hfc for configuring H-JTAG (FREE) software.

You also need a JTAG Wiggler Clone (Got mine from Ebay - link is in the document).

So just to clarify, if I get the JTAG Wiggler Clone, I won't need one of these?

and it would in fact be easier, as I wouldn't need to bridge the points to put it in ISP mode as shown here?

Correct - everything in that tutorial is all you need to perform the same task as with a level shifter, without the need for any additional soldering Download the files needed, pick up a JTAG Wiggler (link in the tutorial for the one I used - worldwide shipping) and you're away.

Thanks. I'd seen that but wasn't sure it was what I'd need.

This is definitely a noob question, but i want to uncripple my hdd. I have a jasper 512 so it would take forever to dump nand trough LPT.

If i follow this tut do I then have a USB NAND dump/reader ready to dump my nand and uncripple the xbox?

Yes - not only will it allow you to read/write to your NAND and uncripple the console, but will save you a massive amount of time (not to mention reliable!).
