zouzzz released a new version of Yaris Swap, an application that will unlock XBLA demos/DLC for homebrew Xbox360s (freeBOOT/XBReboot).

What's new/fixed:
* now scan directory and subdirectory
* added listview with name, status, type...

Nice, so for example if I own a copy of some DLC i could enable it on both the homebrew console and the legitimate one (just by copying it?) right?

Just to clarify, A: if im not running any kind of homebrew, but i have my xbox patched to 8599 through rebooters, could i get online just to download a demo or is that not even safe? And if that isnt safe, could you download it on another console then hook it up to the computer via xport or something and change license checks and stuff through yaris swap to work on your rebooted console?

Do not connect a FreeBOOT / XBReboot 360 to Xbox Live. Because this tool removes the checks, you are ok to copy it from another HDD.

Ok so then how does the license get transfered over if you cant connect to live? Does the yaris swap do it for you? or is it built into the jtag/freeboot hack?

Also on that question, if you bought something on another xbox, say CoD nazi zombies. Then you want to play it on a an xbox that you jtag hacked and rebooted. Will the license just work and let you play offline or can you not play it on that xbox since xbox doesnt let you play DLC not licensed to that xbox offline?

yaris lets you take licencses,dlc etc and patch it to run on freeboot hacked dashboard

The reason this is called Yaris Swap is the XBLA Game known as 'Yaris' has no DLC restrictions on it. It's therefore been identified which address controls DLC and this utility simply replaces the address on any given DLC with the Yaris data (ie no limit). Because you're running unsigned code, there are no checks in place which confirm the signature is broken (which it would be) and therefore it plays.

To answer your question, yes - if you were to locate CoD Map Packs, you could run them through this tool and make them available for everyone.

(now wondering if the same could be done with the Media Player License as it's also DLC.... hmm)

its been confirmed elsewhere that dlc licensces and also media update works once run through yaris tool

What DLC exactly does this work with? ANY? Because there are also full 360 games that can be downloaded over live.What about movies,tv shows,etc?

EDIT nvm - I replaced the details from 022c to 25f and it works. Just copied it to my MU (no HDD needed) and can watch divx content

Tried YarisSwap and it came up as corrupted data. :s

So this is an absolute application for hacked dashes only? If so (as I'm curious) why only does this work on hacked dashes?

yes only with freeboot or XBRebooter will this work, you need to run unsigned XEX's for this to work.
