Zouzzz released updates for 3 of his Xbox 360 tools. * KeyVault Modder v1e A GUI tools to modify/read some of your keyvault data (region, dvd key, dvd info etc). This new version will now say if your KV is editable or not. Microsoft added protections on more recent KVs making editing impossible for now. Download: here * Mini XeX Gui v0.2 This is a small GUI interface for Xorloser's Xextool. The GUI interface will allow you to easily decrypt .xex files, convert debug executables to (homebrew) retail. This new version adds a 'mass-decryptor', will decrypt all files in a directory. Download: here * UpdateSPY v8955-19 This programs allows you to download each Microsoft update and will give detailed information about each kernel/dash update (release date, burns fuses, size, files details, ...) When did M$ add the more recent KeyVault protection? Is it in all Jasper systems?

I think they are talking about systems with newer the newer dashboard/nand chips.  I may be wrong though.

Since Zephyr (After people started to "unban" 360s with the KK exploit)
So they added the protection in 2007 but we only found it now (with the JTAG exploit)

Absolutely pointless. Xorloser made his own GUI.

OMG.....I just found an Xbox with an old kernal before the 8XXXX, it is 7XXX, cant remember exactly. Can someone point me in the right direction so that I can use these files with this Xbox. I think I need to start with the doing the JTag hack to it, but the tutorials I have found are pretty tough. So I was hoping that with these new files and such there was an easier tutorial out there that I can use. Thanks in advance.

wow this is awesome. the flood gates are really opening up now. its too bad they already patched for the exploit and that most of the xboxes out there now are already 'fixed'. i have an older one that i havnt used since last june, but its a first gen machine thats probably pretty close to dying/rrod. i really hope that a way to do this to new machines comes up now that things are opening up more.

thanks to all the developers involved  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif) its nice to see some actual hacking/homebrew news on the front page these days.

Go to Sears or Best Buy, you can get a new falcon or jasper from 08/early 09 with a 16MB NAND ready to hack.

ok I have a box that is on the new dashboard I know its been" fixed" as far as homebrew goes for now but what I want to know is if I can still pull the nand to get KV and then use keyvault modder to see the dvdKey.
I got this box and it had no dvd drive in it so I obviously dont have a key but hoping this method will make it so I can get it.
