FindSecData v0.61
Posted by XanTium | December 1 20:26 EST | News Category: Xbox360

boby2pc released a new version of FindSecData, a tool to help you uncripple the HDD features on a banned Xbox 360 console.
FindSecData will extract secdata.bin and filetable of NAND dump. It uses patch-latest secdata.bin method (not delete method).

What's new/fixed (since v0.4):
* added bypassing FF version records in filesystem (v0.41)
* more accurate timestamp - used for visual purposes only (v0.41)
* added parameter to show time part of timestamp in filetables (v0.42)
* added support for large blocks (v0.5)
* block rellocation support (v0.6)
* now for 256MB and 512MB Jaspers is only needed dump of 0x600 blocks:
                nandpro lpt: -r256 raw.bin AE0 600
           or   nandpro lpt: -r512 raw.bin AE0 600
so only about 1h dumping (v0.6)
* protection to use large block controller with small 24MB dump (v0.61)

So let's see.... a new freeboot that works with newer kernels, a rebooter that eliminates the need for a 2nd nand, two ways to dump both of the newer liteon drives, and a subpoena for Gates...

What a week for MS (and it's only Tuesday). I'm sure LT will be out before the end of the week just to put the nail in the coffin.  jester.gif

Just to add, if it were possible to remove ping limit. That'd be a sure fire way to get M$ pissed.

Just tried this with my 512mb nand (which shows up as 528mb?) gives me options to try then open nandpro start to write and nandpro crashes, gives windows error report then I click on exit instead of send and then cmd goes back to C:\ without closing. Don't know if this is flashing it or what. I tried it with and without the switching diode on the mobo and checked all connection. Any ideas anyone?

Basically the cmd window never closes, it looks like its working for bout 20 seconds then the error report screen comes up saying that nandpro encountered a problem and needs to close, I click exit instead of send and the message closes but cmd stays running and the command displayed is,

looks like the patch is prepared properly.
try to read that block before you write anything, because it looks like there is no connection:
nandpro.exe lpt: -r512 sec.bin EB6 1

OK I tried reading EB6 and it reads perfectly, it's almost though it's write protected. I took screens of the attempts with notes.

I can dump this nand no problem with no errors. but no write.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

Also, is the 512mb dump supposed to be 528mb (540,672kb) in size?

Not as far as  I know, I am using what was linked in the 1st page of the tutorial. The zip just says nandpro so I'll try this and repost after work.

Thanks OnlyXman

Couldn't wait till after work so I gave it a shot and it worked! thanks onlyXman turns out the nandpro i was using didn't have large block support and it went thru without a hitch. patched it up and flashed her and now I can install games again!

Do I need any special hardware to use this program?  I've been reading about having to make serial cables, usb cables, or just simply plugging in a network cable.

How do I get FindSecData v0.61 to see my xbox 360?

Thank you.
