Zouzzz posted another new application on gx-mod.com.
This application allows you to read-out and modify some KeyVault data from your NAND image (will require your unique CPU-key - which as reminder you can't get if you upgraded to kernel 849x or higher). You can spoof ur DVD drive on KV-side (rather than spoofing the actual drive), change your game-region and read-out/change the DVD-key.

What's new/fixed:
- add compatibily with kv.bin extract with BinCrypt
- size detection
- some small changes

Why is this "spoofing"., nothing is being faked. The firmware will match the drive, which will make the osig string in the kv?

So from what I get from this you can put a new key on a bricked MB? I mean if we are still Pre-849*-kernel and had our KV.BIN we can? If so I don't think I'm sleeping tonight...

by that we can spoff any drive key now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) so its gonna be a matter to flash the drive i guess

i only interesting anyone succesfully change xbox region on falcon with dash 7XXX dont matter with this thing or other

This application makes it easier to modify your keyvault IF you allready own your cpu key. It was allready possible to obtain your dvd key from the kv but this just makes life easier and the spoofing is a nice future. This isnt a new method to retrieve the dvd key!

doesn't this make it easier/possible to flash the unmoddable liteon drives?

as I understand they can be flashed ok just that they won't give out the key....

i dont think that those liteons come with a 7xxx mobos

This application only applies to those who have retrieved there cpu key before they updated to the latest kernel. This program is useless for you if you dont have your cpu key and your on the latest dashboard.

The cygnos is used for exploiting the system and reading/writing ect. It can be used but its to expansive imo if you only wanna read/write the nand.

That region changing is really badass... 2bad you can't just remove the region check.
