It would be interesting to find out what someone who hasn't been banned yet, but gets the repair request page error, sees with xval.

2 here that get the 54420 error in the repair request both report clean on the xval.
I haven't booted either online cause I don't want them to cripple the hdd etc.

So is there any hope in un-crippling a banned system with this?

No if it's crippled. then it's crippled. You need to previously have a backup of the nand before ban.

now what this program does is detect if youre console id has been blacklisted by the server.

Nice job.

No .
At this point the only way to do that would be by flashing the nand which is not an option for 99% of the people out there.
Look back at the Unbaning xbox 360 (The Facts) article to find out that.
Link Below.
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=696317

This is simply to see if a console is banned or internally flagged to be banned so people can know before they buy a 2nd hand console etc.

The console that I used for restore testing currently reports as clean.  This console is currenlty running a NAND image that was taken 3 days prior to it being banned from Xbox Live as per this post: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry4567518

So 3 days prior to that system being banned its secdata was clean.

A definitive NO....
That error means your console is flagged and a Ban is inevitable.Took mine 6 days after getting the 54420 code before being banned.

Someone on IRC asked what outputs there were besides "Secdata is Clean" and "Console Banned"

I took a look and here is the list I saw as potential outputs from Xval_v2.0:
CODE
Console Serial length incorrect!
Console Serial is wrong!
Encrypted X Value length incorrect!
Encrypted X Value is wrong!
Secdata is Clean
Secdata is invalid
Secdata decryption error
Failed AP25 Challenge
Tampered AP25 Table
Reverted AP25 Table
Invalid DVD Geometry
Invalid DVD DMI
DVD Keyvault Pair Mismatch
Invalid CRL Data
CRL Certificate Revoked
Unauthorized Install
Keyvault Policy Violation
Console Banned
ODD Violation
Unknown Violation(s)

Some of those are obviously user errors, but some are kind of interesting to see.

So if I get:

Decrypted Value: 0000000000000000
Result: Secdata is clean

Then I'm in the clear? Or is the Decrypted Value supposed to be something other than all zeros?

So I might just be on the short bus here but how is this any different than just checking if you are able to rip games to the hard drive or not? My 360 is not "banned" but I still get the repair service error codes so it never goes online anymore. Not sure this will be any use to me. What am I missing? Who does this help? Not trying to disrespectful, I appreciate all the hard work of those in the scene.

Well, it would help anyone who has one of the error codes to know they probably shouldn't take the box online.
