Its weard because before this release.

All i would get was that the verification had failed because the xex/ss didnt match the abgx database.  which it shouldnt because its my own rip, not from the iso download database.  but with this latest ver. i get the game data is ok but stealth isnt.  but like 2 paragraphs above, after is does the CRC check, it says stealth check passed.  im not sure if my rips are good or not.

From the release notes:
- Added ability to at least try to verify the game data when no Xex/SS ini is available and we're not going to AutoFix

To understand the difference between stealth check and verification, read the info tips next to "Check Stealth" and "Verify if Stealth passes" in the GUI.

In 1.0.1 I had the wave 3 iso in my install directory.  In 1.0.2, it says to put it in my appdata directory.  Where do I put the wave 4 iso?

From the release notes:
- Now storing data files in the AppData folder to prevent errors related to permissions and UAC. You can open the GUI and hit Ctrl+F to find out where your StealthFiles are now stored and optionally have it opened for you. abgx360 will still check for Video ISOs in the old install directory first though, so you don't need to move that 3rd Wave Video ISO if you have it saved there already.

What do you mean? Automatically check SS v1 with SS v2, wtf? They are separate things, there is no SS v1 being checked with SS v2 or anything here... SS v2 are duplicate angles.

In any case what's the best setting to have? To trust SS v2 angles or not? My brain almost melted when I read the text about SS v2 in Quickstart, so I'm not sure myself...

Put the verbosity level to high then you will understand what I am saying..The SS V2 is a duplicate of SS 1

SS v2 very simply consists of a duplicate angle value for response types 7 and 5 stored in c4eva's C/R replay table and was added in iXtreme v1.6. Older 0800 ripping firmwares and Kreon's firmware will record the angle just once, which results in SS v1. The problem is that Kreon's firmware does not do an actual measurement to get the angle, but simply uses preset angles that all games currently use and applies a small jitter to them. Storing the angle twice allows us to be fairly certain that this is a real angle measurement made by an actual Xbox 360 drive.  If a game was intentionally or accidentally mastered with one or more angles that deviated far from their CCRT targets, it would need to be ripped with a drive that does actual angle measurements in order to mimic the original disc's responses. If that drive also supports SS v2 and you have the default option enabled to "Trust SS v2 angles", abgx360 will accept them instead of complaining about deviation from the (obviously incorrect) CCRT target. It will still check and alert you when appropriate about the v1 angle deviation from the v2 angle, which should be zero unless the v1 angle has been adjusted to its CCRT target by an older version of abgx360, or if a 359 degree v1 angle was adjusted to 0 for compatibility with iXtreme < v1.4. If you have decided not to trust SS v2 angles by unchecking that option, abgx360 will compare both the v1 and v2 angle to the CCRT target as if each was a v1 angle and alert you when appropriate; this is useful if you're paranoid and think someone has maliciously tampered with the angles. Note, however, that abgx360 v1.0.2 or later will never fix angle deviation or C/R data for an SS v2 without a verified ini and SS file (although it will still adjust any 359 degree v1 angles if you have that option enabled). If your SS v2 is fucked up, something is seriously wrong and you need to rip again or use the SS provided by AutoFix, as there is no reliable way to fix an SS v2 using decrypted CCRT data.

SO basically when TRUST SS v2 is turned off it will still compare SS v2 with v1 and will report invalid angles compared to SS V2...But when it is turned on it will auto fix angle differences in SS v1 compared to ss v2....

« Reply #48 on: November 12, 2009, 04:29:00 AM »

About New Changes can be found on this thread or at abgx360 site Google it, there's some more Changes I like to add....

Added support for Avatar Awards

Added drag & drop support for the GUI Input panel I don't know why they didn't have it there the first time But Thanks for that one I love that Change no more Ctrl+O lol  smile.gif

Added option to embed images in the HTML source code as data URIs for better portability (when using HTML output) Love this one also the next one

Added JavaScript to HTML output that allows you to check off achievements and see the achieved text (especially useful when the how-to text is vague)

Removed "Look for verified files in the local folder only" option from the GUI. I can't tell you how many people have checked this box without reading it because they saw it in a tutorial or someone else told them to do it, and then they can't figure out why abgx360 says you need to enable online functions. Please stop writing/following tutorials! Just read the Quickstart topics, the tutorial is right there. Now hes %100 right about this one but my Guide has noting to do with online.

Checking for updates to GameNameLookup.csv is now optional (the csv was eating 50% of our bandwidth and you probably don't need it anyway since the game name can be retrieved directly from the Xex)  ph34r.gif   I did NOT know about this one so thanks again for that Fix I don't go online anyway.

Fixed a bug where folders would be considered files when parsing the ISO filesystem on some recent games I think this just happen to me and if I'm wrong can someone Correct Me but the Image I got has no info like the size and so on I got two backups that got this problem but it could be the MagicISO File Associations got the handle of the ISO.

Added support for 4th Wave PFI/Video Thanks with out this how would I know my backup is good well I verify my self but abgx is the best at it.

Added support for SS v2 Special Thanks   smile.gif

Special Note: It's recommended to wait for iXtreme LT (Lite Touch) before you play any more backups or originals on an unbanned console flashed with custom firmware.

Kudos to the ABGX team for their continued efforts to provide us with access to easy backup checks.   Unfortunately with all the recent input and data that I've personally collected, ABGX is NOT a reliable tool.

On one hand we have an updated ABGX with all these new checks and Wave 4 support.  I've checked every backup I've ever ran on my iXtreme 1.6 flashed Lite-ON with the new ABGX 1.0.2 and they all passed.  On the other hand we have the living legend c4eva assuring us that iXtreme 1.6 is completely stealth and undectable.  I never played a release early.  Also did not play any Wave 4 games.  Banned earlier this month like many of us on the forum.

This data suggests that:
1.     There are additional media checks that ABGX still is not accounting for.  ie:  just because you pass the ABGX checks, doesn't mean there aren't other security features MS is running against your backups.
2.     MS can detect iXtreme (any version)

If c4eva is convinced that iXtreme is undetectable, then why release a LT or "Light Touch"?  Why not just add support for Wave 4 and drop 1.6.x?

Clearly there are a multitude of triggers and flags to be met before a ban is effected.  To look at one thing and say it is common across all banned consoles is a little short sighted in my opinion.  I am convinced that these will be identified soon, but rushing out a release under the pretension that the checks are now "safer" is a little optimistic.  I would rather wait and play my backups offline on my banned box, until there is more factual documentation on the recent banwave.

That is my $.02

that was what i was thinking until i did some research, i mean its always been a cat and mouse game but steps were taken to prevent us from bans. Unfortunately, MS found a way to surmise if people have a different fw, the fw itself isnt detectable as the drive needs to be in vendor mode....but they found a difference in responce from the original to ixtreme....thats why the new LT is supposed to respond to that exactly as the original....maybe ms has something new planned next year

ABGX yea  i also wondered why ms just doesnt put duds in the database....though i ripped my own stuff, i ussually checked the database for stealth and verification....usually its already verified but when it asks, i dont autopatch my rips...

i have a small question regarding abgx, i couldnt find an answer anywhere.... because of the the bans i went ahead and rechecked everything in case i missed something (before the announcement of LT) well my Assasins creed, which i ripped with a kreon drive, came with an unverified game partition crc and i didnt modify it, which means it was either a bad rip or the database is wrong.... but i read on the ABGX welcome intro and other forums that say a bad kreon rip doesnt exist....it refers to the whole angle thing and the bans of 07 but does that mean no bad rips in general for the kreon? I was never banned when i played the shit out of it when it came out and nothing was differnet than the retail version i played, should i worry? although i am banned now, i dont want to risk it when i get a new xbox....also just wanted to know in case the situation happens again...as i am now checking all my isos....

thanks

this is because the verification is regarding thier own database...if its your own rip then as dont worry...i think the new version checks the game crc anyways and thats why it says that game data is ok but stealth isnt...it means the verification....thats how i see it at least

Hi Gwoo93,

I'm the guy who got abgx360-1.0.1 running on the PPC Mac. I've just finished compiling and packaging the new 1.0.2 version, and it is available for download on bittorrent. Searching for "abgx360" and "ppc" on either btjunkie or mininova should do the trick

Mininova has never shown any seeders or leechers for some reason, even though I am seeding 24/7. I will be interested to hear any feedback about this installer, good or otherwise. Many thanks to Seacrest for releasing the Linux source code which has made this PPC Mac version possible.

i have downloaded the 5th and 6th wave video files from abgx360 official website and have put them in the stealthfile folder

but when i run abgx it always states

Checking PFI
     PFI CRC = 05C6C409
PFI matches known data (4th wave - requires iXtreme v1.51 [Hitachi only],
v1.6 [using activation disc], v1.61 or later)

Video partition found
     Video CRC = E2FA3A26 (V0 = E0363F4E, V1 = EAE76B94)
Video partition does not match known data (could be corrupt or a new wave not
seen before)

Stealth status is uncertain

and it is a 6th wave game, can someone please help
