I've got everything moved, but there are a handful of saves that got corrupted during the Xplorer360/PC transfer.  Most are no big deal, but Fable II is *killing* me.  I was hours into the game, but still had quite a bit to go.  I've googled and found that this is a common issue, but all the messages are several months old.

Has anyone figured out in the meantime a good way to make the transfer?  I'm really hoping I'm not hosed here.  HELP!!

I had similar issue with Smackdown vs Raw 2010 and all I did to fix it was move my gamesave to my internal 256MB memory then back to the HDD loaded up fine after that hope that helps.

Internal memory?  Is there something onboard the Xbox itself, or are you just talking about a memory card?  If there is something onboard the Xbox, how did you get to it?  All mine shows is the hard drive (but at least it's now 250 gb!)

I have a jasper board has built in 256MB memory you can do the same with a memory card

there's a few savegames that are device locked (forza too)

resign them with a CON resigner to your 250gb device_id and it'll work

Not to sound like an utter dolt, but how exactly do I do that?

OK.  With my friend Google, I was able to figure out the basics of re-signing.  D/L some software.  Good news & bad news.

Good news:  Was able to successfully recover Rock Band 2, Puzzle Quest, and Forza2 profiles.

Bad news:  Was NOT able to recover Fable2, which unfortunately, was the main reason for my question.

I did get it to exhibit different behavior.  Before the "patch", the game simply reported a corrupt save and wouldn't go any further.  After the patch, the game appeared that it was trying to load the save.  The name of the last region I was in even appeared on the screen.  However, it never gets past this screen.  The tutorial tips kept scrolling, but it would never go any further.  I waited something like 10 minutes just to be sure.

Unless there are other ideas, looks like I'm in for starting over.

Are there any issues with resigning your saves just for this purpose? (moving from one hard drive to the other). The reason I'm asking is these save re-signers are usually used for achievement and gamesave hacking. I just don't want Microsoft to punish me along with that crowd just for wanting my corrupted saves back.
