Good news  biggrin.gif

I already flashed my BenQ with iXtreme 1.61 using 1.66 too, and it works fine, not sure what the 'bug' that they fixed with it is - probably just the autoload.

Sorry, but ace-of-spades you are wrong. Jungleflasher runs fine under x64 Windows 7. PortIO (a seperate x86 driver) won't work, however.

which makes me right, not wrong.

The point of the program jungle flasher is to flash 360's...and can it do it on a 64-bit pc, No.
So it doesn't work on 64-bit.   I dont care if it loads, whoop-dee-frickin-doo.
If it can't do its job, it dosn't work.

I have seen so many benq, and liteons that people have claimed to be bricked and always able to bring it back in dos.

Ranger72, is there a tut on how to do that in case it happens to one of us?
I was under the impression that dosflash 64 was fine with windows 7 64 and i successfully flashed to 1.6 about a week ago, (FINALLY)

Unless you physically damage the hardware, it's extremely difficult to brick the Samsung, Benq or Lite-on drives. at worst, the drive will be without firmware (which is what you do when you erase it), so just click on Vendor Intro and power cycle the drive. If your PC is freezing when you switch on the drive, you've got conflicting drivers trying to take control within Windows.

flash new benq with your old key in new firmware (1.61) - job done.
