Put the hddhackr program on a floppy or USB boot disk along with the 250gb hddss.bin. Boot into dos and type hddhackr. It will scan for your drive. Once it finds it choose the number corresponding to your drive (it may be a good idea to unplug all your other drives). Then type the name of the hddss.bin file then type the name of your undo file. You can select to have it go ahead and format the partitions as well.

Now sit back and wait a few seconds and you should be all good to go.

Cheers m8.

Can anyone confirm if this drive works:

Western Digital Scorpio Blue
Model:WD3200BEVT

Link: WD3200BEVT

Thanks.

It should, according to the readme, but you know you'll only be able to use 250GB of that, right?

Yes i know - thanks.

I have it in my PS3, but it doesn't get much use so was gonna make better use of it smile.gif

Hopefully it will work - seems to tick all the boxes.

Will post back with results smile.gif

Might have to try this with the spare 320GB I have.  Doing the first copy from the 20gb to the 120gb was a big pain with all the save files that didn't want to make the jump.  Would really be nice to hurry and hit the 500gb mark with the HD loading option.

MS Transfer Kit won't work as it doesn't detect the 250GB drive.

yes it does. Xplorer360 wouldn't recognize the 250, so I plugged the 20GB into the top of my 360, plugged the 250GB into the back port of the 360 with a SATA to USB adapter I had laying around. I had deleted everything except my savegames off the 20GB. at first it didn't recognize it, it said to plug it in, so I unplugged the 250GB and plugged it back in. it took 44 minutes to copy. it said some data was corrupt and wasn't copied, but all my stuff is on the 250GB now. gotta love it.
