Just ordered my western digital 320gb hdd (hoping that in the future they will come out with a 320gb maybe smile.gif ) is xplorer360 able to connect to the 250gb hdds?  I'm backing up my 120gb right now, and wondering how I will put all the stuff back on if xplorer360 extreme 2 is unable to access 250gb hdds

What are you smoking? Aside from multi-drive RAID 0 setups and some SSD's, no standard HDD can sustain high enough transfers to saturate SATA 1. SATA 1 can hit ~150 MB/s sustained transfer!

Only the finest skunk. good point though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

MS transfer kit might work? or might need updating  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif). Otherwise Xport 360 should do the trick?

ah yeah, I think xport will need to be updated. WinHex?

a mem card or even max memory (if you haven't got the preview!) will let you move partition 3 data.

MS Transfer Kit won't work as it doesn't detect the 250GB drive.

are you sure? I thought the only drive that needs to be detected is the one connected via usb.

That's weird...I just tried and at the screen where it shows how you should connect everything I don't get a green "A" once I plug the 250GB into the xbox and I cant continue.

My bad k1ller.

I'm seriously tempted to buy a 250gb hdd off fleabay, but I know as soon as I do, the .bin will surface on the net.

No probs - the bin has surfaced - yay (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You should try having an original 20gig that has around 13gigs of usable space with nothing on it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ive been holding off hacking a drive for a year now, I think now is the time to hack a 250gig though as I don’t think Microsoft are going to released a bigger drive for a long while now.

I've been in that situation & was thankfully able to get out of it asap

Put the hddhackr program on a floppy or USB boot disk along with the 250gb hddss.bin. Boot into dos and type hddhackr. It will scan for your drive. Once it finds it choose the number corresponding to your drive (it may be a good idea to unplug all your other drives). Then type the name of the hddss.bin file then type the name of your undo file. You can select to have it go ahead and format the partitions as well.

Now sit back and wait a few seconds and you should be all good to go.

I just got home from work. Awesome, bin file is out. I'm about to order this 250 gb hd.

Sounds like it will work from the 1 customer review. Anybody else find one for less.

This one is only five bucks more and is a 7200 RPM drive. I just ordered it, ver 1.22 claims to work with it. I'll post here if it does.

Hey, do I need to do anything special to transfer the Xbox 1 emulator over?
