I might have found a bug....extracted the key from Lite-On 83850c and tried to spoof it into a Benq to test it out before erasing. JF 0.1.66 wouldn't let me spoof it, though. Tried spoofing with JF 0.1.65 and it worked fine. weird...

Need some assistance. I successfully retrieved the dummy.bin from my liteon 83xx using JF 1.66. I used a benq drive (Spoof Source to Target method) for testing purposes. When I plug in the drive, originals nor backups will work however, DVD movies will play. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please advise.

This would only happen if the DVD key was invalid. What key did JF return from your Liteon?

When you put an original or backup in, what happens?

If you get the Xbox logo or a screen saying "put this disc in an xbox 360", then either your laser needs to be calibrated (not likely, but it happens), or you've flashed it with the wrong key.

Man, I hope he's not leaving the scene. If he is, we are all going to be in big trouble in 8-10 months (my guess) when Microsoft releases a new DVD drive/firmware...
