Just flashed my Liteon with JF .64 and it worked flawlessly with my USB Xtractor and Windows XP. I'd say even easier than my samsung. I broke all the hitachi's so.. aside from that.. no comment tongue.gif

Anyway gratz to JF for doing it big and keeping the party going. Ixtreme, c4eva do it big for the 2k10!!!!!

sorry if this is stupid, but does "- conversion of [barcode].bin.key to dummy.bin" mean that we dont need to use foundmy to get our key any more?

I wonder have many will report that their CK3 has kicked the bucket in the process of flashing 83850c.

Why ?

Well, most of you have heard about the problem of keeping a CK3 powered for too long (longer than 5-10 minutes will kill it, look around, various reports verify this).

Now, between 'Create 83 extract' and 'Import 83 .key file' you have to do the payment and the uploading part. I'm expecting a lot of people (especially at first) to just keep the whole thing powered when waiting for the key to be mailed back.. hence.. exit CK3 ...

if you're referring to the 83850, then Dosflash should do the trick as well.

Create hacked firmware with JF and the obtained bin file from the foundme method, put it on a bootable disk and erase and flash with dosflash in DOS.

Anyway, JF works great, and is much easier then having to use a bootdisk and flashing/reading in DOS

No need for dosflash, as jungleflasher caters for all your flashing needs.

Probably no one because the CK3 is not required for the 83850c.

Not required, no.  But I'm sure plenty of people would rather use that than their 360 to power the drive.  Myself included.

So these people are going to milk everyone until the solution becomes public?

Free solution? No - they haven't creamed enough cash already.

I'm guessing that the speculation is right about the key being in a different location?

How much does this "Service" cost?

great work ! the service costs $42, get over it. Its not the end of the world. At least you have a solution, be grateful. I for one don't care because i don't have a liteon  tongue.gif . I have used it for my benq and a friend's hitachi. works great !

Does activate.iso need to be burned to a dual layer disk or will a regular dvdr/cdr work?
