I've been searching posts all day and still haven't been able to find an answer.

I have a SH-D163B BL02 drive flashed with Kreon v1.00 and XBC v2.6 (and v2.3).

When I insert an original 360 game into my Kreon drive, XBC does not allow me to hit the start button on the read tab. XBC does, however, allow me (start button appears) to make a backup of an already backed up game (made via my 360's Samsung drive).

This problem occurs whether I connect the Kreon via my Mobos Nvidia SATA controller or my PCI VIA 6421 controller. I've seen many with this problem with XBC/SH-D163B but no one with a solution.

Hope one of you Gurus can help.

Not really a fix, the reason why you can rip a burned copy and not an original is because burned copies don't have the game partition locked. To unlock the game partition for original games go to the "Drive Tools" tab and click on "Unlock Drive", then the "Complete Backup" option will be enabled.

got it working. turns out my drive only works with v2.9 of xbc and sometimes i need to restart first to unlock the drive. thanks
