Xbc Broke My Dvd Drive
« on: July 15, 2009, 02:59:00 AM »

I was burning a game with xbc V2.8 and got this error:

Action: Write Sectors
Sense error: 5/21/02
INVALID ADDRESS FOR WRITE
CBD: WRITE (10)
0x 2A 00 00 00 0180 00 10 00

I clicked ok and it said something about closing the disk? I wasn't really looking. but after bout 20 mins it was still doing this. I clicked exit but xbc became un responsive so i Ctrl+Alt+Del'd out of it. Now when I try to open my DVD drive which I was burning from Nothing happens, it just blinks and now my drive won't open

Specs:
Running Xp service pack 2
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4163B most updated driver installed

I just opened xbc V2.9 ( I updated) and got this error:

ACTION: READ PFI SECTOR
Sense error 5/30/02
CBD: READ DVD STRUCTURE
0xAD 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 04 00 00

Has anyone else had this problem before or knows how to fix it?

I got the disk out using the emergency hole but now the button doesn't work.

any help would be appreciated.

-Jaden

Manually eject it with a pin,
And power your computer off completly then power back on.

Try ejecting it from Discovery Mode in IMGBurn to get it to work properly, I bet the drive thinks that it's locked to XBC when it really isn't.  Unplug the power cord from the back of the PC for a few minutes and see if that helps.  If neither work your drive shitted out coincidentally, XBC cannot break your drive.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Is a Samsung SH - D163B model dvd drive flashed with Kreon firmware suitable to backup/ burn a DL xbox 360 disc?
sorry I forgot if it has too be DL + R or DL - R

I have officially given up on y other drive, I'll just make a laser out of it.
