Frosty i was trying my first liteon drive and it was going fine then when it got to the part where i erases the drive my computer just turned off and rebooted. I looked at the back up key and it is only 1kb. I tried to flash it again and it went through the whole process and seemed like it worked then i checked the dumped files again now they still all have 1kb except the ixtreme file is normal 256kb. Is there any way to recover the original key or did i just get a strange glitch that bricked it?
Your drive might have been bricked... does it work at all? (ejecting, playing original games on your 360)
This is the main reason why I really want to discontinue the CD version.
The CD version heavily relies on a 'broken' NTFS driver, IMHO.
Meaning that the NTFS driver that I use (which was not developed by me) only works correctly about 50% of the time. This only applies to saving the firmware though, not modifying the drive (because the firmware files being used to modify your drive are kept in your PC's RAM until the process is complete). However, if you are unlucky enough to have it fail during modification, and also have the NTFS driver create 1kb files on your NTFS HDD, then you might be out of luck...

PLEASE IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS THINKING ABOUT USING THE CD VERSION, PLEASE PLEASE RECONSIDER, AND USE THE USB VERSION INSTEAD, OR YOU RISK POSSIBLY BRICKING YOUR DRIVE IF IT FAILS FOR ANY REASON.
THE USB VERSION WORKS PERFECTLY FOR PROPERLY BACKING UP FIRMWARE FILES AND FLASHING DRIVES, BUT THE CD VERSION HAS KNOWN ISSUES - AVOID USING THE CD VERSION IF YOU CAN.
I regret to say that the CD version may not get a new release. The new version is not working as expected, and I am uncomfortable releasing it.
If you NEED the CD version, just use '360 Modification Disc v1.6'.
Otherwise, I HEAVILY recommend using '360 Modification USB Drive v1.6 Revision 3' if you are able to, as I know it works exactly as designed, and does what it's supposed to properly.
