I'd love to try another beta version of the software FrostyTheSnowman. smile.gif If you want to email me the new version of the beta whenever you get the chance I'll let you know if it fixes the software freezing up or not.

Cool, I am actually finishing up Revision 4 now, it should be ready for beta testing by tomorrow.

I will e-mail you the beta version as soon as it is available. happy.gif

Also made it through a 83850c drive yesterday im very curious on how your steps are going to go for the drive with your revision 4.

We figured out what went wrong with Guentha, it was that he had a space in his 'folder name'.

Don't use spaces in the directory name and you will be fine.

Also, the 83850c drive process will look very similar to the Samsung/BenQ processes. happy.gif

I plan to release it sometime next week, probably Wednesday.

First off, thanks for the program.  It looks so easy to use but there's got to be soemthing wrong with what I'm doing.
using this usb drive mod, I have been getting "internal stacks error" or something to that effect, saying that I should change the config.sys file.  I have gotten this also with the 1.6 rev 2 disc as well.  I used an 8gb stick formatted with fat32 and used the ms-dos to make it bootable.  Could it be due to my sata hard drive? I'm doing this all on a via 6421 card but when I disable onboard sata or the SATA hard drive itself, I get an error say "extended memory manager already installed, XMS driver not installed" but If I boot off the USB with everything connected, it boots up fine, reads my firwmware and goes to "click button to restart" but then I got the "internal stacks overflow msg".  I've also tried the 1.51 disc where I say no to ntfsdos and just try to flash it but I get the same error.  I must being something ridiculously wrong ??

This is a rare but known error, it only affects a few people.

The new version, Revision 4 will fix this. happy.gif

It should be released sometime this week.

Frosty will you be releasing the cd version of your revision 4 usb drive? I have a pc that runs everything fine all drives except the liteon it says dvd key invalid every time i try a dump, not sure why i know my com port works since i can do the liteon drive with dosflash. The liteon does work great on my other pc but it does not boot usb thats why im wondering about the cd version i would like to get 1 pc to be able to do all drives.

Sorry about the lack of updates on Revision 4, it has been a CRAZY week for me... (2 weddings, 2 bachelor parties, WAY too much drinking...)

Revision 4 will be released Wednesday at the very latest, my apologies for the late release.
