ok used hddhackr 1.00 and it says cant open file undo.bin for binary writing. AAHHHHHHHHHH THIS NEVER ENDS HLP PLEEEZE

Ok, it was late and I was tired. Here is my problem.

I performed a full backup to an IMG file using Xport 360 software.

Used HDDHACKR to hack my BEV WD drive to be 120GB.

Formatted the 120GB in my Xbox.

Restored the original 20GB IMG onto the 120GB WD drive. I allowed sector 16 data to be overwritten. Now I know this was a mistake!! Big mistake it seems.

Now, of course, there is no way for me to get this drive's firmware back to the WD firmware because HDDHACKR doesn't seem to work with seagate drives.

Can someone help?

Or am I screwed and need another BEVS drive?

Yes. The 360 doesn't detect a drive as being connected when I plug it up.

ok its FINALLY done!! well i bombed so many boards and threads but thanks to patience n the xbox scene guide its all done, whew that was a process. but now i know how to do it, and ive learned soooo much. thanks . downloading point lookout fo3 dlc now with over 85 gb left!!

I've seen many people saying they're having problems with hddhackr 1.0 and wd1600BEVT drives and some saying HDAT2 will fix it and others saying some mystical HEX changes will fix it with 0.91b

I've tried the HDAT2 method and not been able to do it, but I can't for the live of me find the HEX for 0.91b

Can someone help?

Me too done all i can with hdat2 hpa is off drive size now 234441648 still says lba size does not match
with hddhackr 1.00 and ec count not found in firmware with 0.91 , both find my drive first time !
MY drive is a new wd 1600 BEVT with date of 27 march 2009 on it
I cant find 0.91b !
Intel chipset and via card tryed both !
If you have hddhackr 0.9b can you send it to me please !

found 0.91b got the same ec count not found in firmware untill i deleted the ec bin from my m stick that 0.91 b had made then went back to hdat put drive back to full size with Hpa off ,booted to 0.91b with my drive in VIA card did not make undo bin flashed it ok rebooted to 0.91b it said still needed to be flashed so iturned of computer and tryed it in the xbox it had worked ! So I didnt get the lba mismatch error, but I did get the sector 16 does not match the drive's firmware info error, then asked me to go ahead and flash, I put yes, it said flashed successfully! but when inserted into xbox its not recognized. Very troublesome, i'll try a different computer soon. Any info on this error?

Hi all, I am in a pickle. I was having a prob with my drive so i was gonna reflash it. I got as far as using the restore with my undo.bin file. It read fine as a wd2500bevs hd after flash and said to reboot. after my reboot the drive has no serial lba or any info of the sorts it just reads as an empty line in my bios. I tried to reflash the undo but it cant write firmware to drive, it says the same if i try to flash the hddss.bin from the 120gb hd. i am stumped i am using all the versions of hddhackr i can find. When i saw this one had something for mis-flashed drives i was hopeful but alas no luck still. any help please?

by chance does anyone have an undo file for a wd2500bevs-22ust0 lba 488397168? after that initial flash it reads my undo file as having no info.

Okay I found version 1.11. My undo file is reading again i used a fresh back up. Now the drive still shows blank but i am able to do 2 things........ 1) i can use the tool to create the 3 partitions on the drive successfully. 2) it doesnt outright say it cant write flash to drive when i try to restore , now it gives me an error about unable to access sector 16. for everything else the drive says write impossible or something similiar. I am stumped maybe flahing it with the undo file under ver 0.91 screwed it up because i have the same undo file and it read both times. I am desperate to get my box working again. fortunately i did keep my stock 20 but i moved all my saves to the 120. i am in a bad way please PLEASE help me...

Is the max size of the harddrive 120gb? Can I flash a 120gb Western Digital Scorpio Blue 120gb with HDDHacker without having an original harddrive?
