360 Modification Disc v1.6

Hi everyone.

I'm new to the modding scene and saw this disc up on newsgroups so grabbed and it read up about it and felt like I was ready to go.

I've undone my 360 and I've got a phillips/lite on DG - 16D2S drive.

Now i've read comflicting things when I get to this point.

Do i just connect the drive (leave it in the x box or remove it altogether) to my sata card and run the disc on my pc?

Or does this type of drive require soldering and so on like i've read in some places.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

The Lite-On drive requires a special serial cable to be modded, either the CK3 Pro, the Maximus Xtractor, or make your own cable (homemade).

Do not attempt to modify your Lite-On drive without this cable, or you might brick your drive... sad.gif

Are these cables easy to make/cheap to buy?

Cheap to buy, no. The cable is roughly $50 for a CK3 Pro...

However, they are very cheap to make. smile.gif ($5 in parts)

Check out the 'Lite-On-RS232-TTL.jpg' image file included in the 360 Modification Disc v1.6 package for the diagram.

NOTE: Even with this cable you still need to use your 360 to power the drive, the serial cable in the diagram does not provide power to the drive.

Hi, I have a few questions.
1. Please enter your VT6421's port below?
I have the RC215 my ports are I/O Range
8000-800F
8400
8800
8c00
9000
9400 How many should I enter? I enter 8000 but want to clarified
I always get MTK vendor intro failed on port 0x8000 and I tried each one and the result is the same.

2.Please enter the com port for use with your serial cable(Lite-On drives only)
Do I press enter and skip it?

3.I finished every step and this is what I got
From Status 0xD1 to Status 0x70
Rading Bank 0,1,2,3 Then Reading finished! Datasum:158 F

Finally how do I know when I am finish. because I tried my xbox360 and my back ups wave 3 don't start. Another thing do i need to power on my 360 when it prompts me to hit y and wait for dos to find the drive?
Thanks for everything.

did you only read the firmware, or did you actually finish flashing the drive? i think you missed a point where you were supposed to press enter to get to the next screen.

It seems that i have bricked my Lite-on drive... sad.gif
I have all the key and dummy files extracted by JungleFlasher, is there any way I can unbrick it?

What tools and SF I'll be needing?

Thnx for your answers in advance! *)

boochip next time you quote a comment make sure you give a helpful answer. Don't say they already answer it. I don't know if you are stupid or what but next time let frosty or someone else answer. Anyways I have a ps/2 and again nothing. It says Reading finished! Datasum:158F and that's it. I try everything, pressing every key on my keyboard turning the xbox 360 drive on and off and ejecting the drive and nothing. WTF frosty come up with something. And boochip make sure you don't answer. I can even make a video and see what's going bad.
