Hi, I was wondering (and I am not trying to ask too much, I would never do that) but I was wondering if you would be interested in creating an ebuild of this program for Gentoo? I would absolutely do it myself, but I feel that writing an ebuild is slightly too advanced for me. I totally understand if you would not want to, don't get me wrong, I don't want to ask too much, after some studying, though, and with some consultation with a friend, I might be able to pull this off, as writing an ebuild doesn't seem that tough, I am willing to learn, it will just take some time. Again, if you're not interested, I do apologize, but I figure you would be faster at it than I would be, seeing as how you have written this what looks to be fabulous program, but I am definitely willing to take a shot at it. I also understand if you're not familiar with Gentoo, as there are so many different distros of Linux, most of which are very good, Gentoo just happens to be my favorite, I also have Ubuntu running on another machine here.

Thanks

Todd

Hi Todd,

Feel free to create an ebuild if you want. I am also a gentooer, but I don't really have the time to create an ebuild right now. It's been a couple of years since I made one and there has been a lot of changes in portage since then.

Dunno if this is the kind of package that will make it into the "real" portage tree. You would probably have to find an overlay that is willing to host it.

Best regards,
