Help Please! Cant Get Dvd Drive Device Information
« on: March 24, 2009, 08:29:00 PM »

I got a lite-on dvd drive, unfortunately, and ive been trying to mod this thing for days. I modded many of the Xbox1 myself but im running into a few technical difficulties with this Xbox 360, ive done so much research and had to try so many things im nearly ripping my hair out so any help would be greatly appreciated. so heres some of the hardware and software im using on my PC: windows vista x64, NVIDIA NForce Serial ATA Controller (to be specific its listed as the NForce 730i chipset) and it has 6 SATA connections directly on the motherboard , Xecuter CK3 Pro with Probe add-on, and im attempting to use jungle flasher with the lite-on ixtreme 1.51 firmware (I tried dosflash32 and it says driver has been blocked from loading, even with administrator priveledges enabled and will not load), I loaded the USB drivers, and placed portio files in my system32 folder in windows manually because i cannot install them, there is no x64 support. My computer recognizes the CK3 and lights on the probe and ck3 are blue( there is no serial connection on my pc, i have to use USB)but my problem is with jungle flasher i cannot get any device information on my Xbox 360 lite-on DVD drive, it doesnt recognize it on any of the seven listed ports. ive tried plugging it in a few different SATA ports, even the one my pc dvd drive is normally connected to and no information comes up. my hdd is plugged in one of the SATA ports so i cant try that one i need my hdd to run windows. any ideas? ive read nforce chipsets are supposed to work, could mine be an incompatible version? Do the io drivers still work on Vista x64 placed in the windows32 folder, jungle flasher starts up no problem and finds 1 I/O port (honestly im not sure what this is) but when i click add all non IDE ports i get 7 I/O port numbers but none of which have any device information for my lite-on, and finds my com port (port 4: usb-to-serial) and says its ready. ive been trying everything and getting as much info as i can please help with any ideas or advice its driving mr nuts.
